Responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services essential for the production process, your role will play a critical part in maintaining an efficient supply chain, contributing to the overall success of the production department.
Vendor Management:
- Work with suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Procurement Planning:
- Collaborate with production planners to forecast material requirements and ensure adequate stock levels.
Order Processing:
- Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, considering production schedules and lead times.
- Track and monitor order status, addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials meet the required standards.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and negotiations.
Requirements:-
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Good Negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Has initiative and a positive learning attitude
