4. Utilize your expertise in networking and security technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, SD-WAN, and cloud networking, to architect robust and scalable solutions.
5. Conduct solution presentations and workshops with customers and partner to explain the proposed network and security designs, address technical questions and concerns, and gain buy-in and approval for proposed solutions
6. Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for customers, providing insights, recommendations, and best practices related to network and security architecture, design, and implementation.
7. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking and security, continuously expanding your knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
8. Collaborate with principals and partners to evaluate new products, technologies, and solutions, providing feedback and recommendations for integration into our network and security offerings.
9. Actively contribute to the growth and success of the company.
10. Respond anytime or get backup from internal to urgent, ad-hoc or before dateline tender/RFQ/RFP submission request by customer/partner with best possible solution quotation, Scope of compliance and design drawing.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or with more than 2 years of experience in solution presentation, technical presales in networking and security industry.
• Strong technical background and understanding of networking concepts, protocols, architectures, security principles, and technologies, with the ability to design and architect complex network and security solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, partners, and customers.

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Office of Acquisition and Property Management located in Washington, DC.

This position is being advertised as both location negotiable after selection and with a duty station of Washington, D.C and Denver, CO with the option of telework. 2. Provides expertise, technical advice, and coordination to Interior bureaus on legislative and regulatory developments, changes in space management and housing practices, and trends affecting the Department's requirements for, and use of, space and housing. Serves as a DOI focal point for portfolio-centric space management and accountability to optimize the Department's portfolio of owned and leased assets.
6. Represents the Department at interagency meetings on governmentwide space management and housing policy and initiatives. Secures necessary coordination and cooperation with the General Services Administration (GSA), OMB, and other agencies, as required. Provides leadership on inter- and intra-agency space management committees and work groups.
7. Gathers, tracks, and analyzes data and completes applicable reports for Interior on space management and housing performance and accountability, identifying root cause of variance in a timely manner, implementing corrective action to ensure compliance with law, regulation, policy, the Department of the Interior Strategic Plan, and Asset Management Vision.

Your new role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and management of mechanical services for a variety of building projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, sustainable designs that meet project requirements and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for various building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to inform design decisions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced mechanical design engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions. Ideally, you will have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the building services sector.
• Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CYMAP.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
• A thorough understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in sustainable design and energy-efficient systems, including knowledge of BREEAM and other environmental assessment methods.
