People Support OfficerHybrid

Here at Serco, we are looking for a People Support Officer who will provide administrative support across a range of day-to-day HR activities, co-ordinating actions across the business unit team and acting as an interface with others in the HR operating model as necessary.
In this key role, you will arrange team meetings, ensuring agendas are prepared, attendee materials are available and circulated ahead of meetings and actions are recorded and followed upon. Lead the production of monthly reports, ensuring they are on time and accurate each month and continually developed to ensure best practice and develop further insights on people performance across the business units.
As part of this you’ll:
- Develop and maintain activity and project plans and tracks completion with People Partners, ensuring they are aware of and delivering to deadlines.
- Provide business insights around key people metrics for Senior People Partners.
- Respond to ad-hoc internal requests for data, information or reports. Working with People Partners and contract managers to identify and provide necessary information in line with required timeframes.
- Support the HR team through the annual lifecycle processes, collating input from each business area and supporting any calibrations or review processes in the business unit.
- Support the HR team in keeping talent and succession materials updated and ensure any documents required are produced to a high standard.
- Manage the team MS Teams site and ensure all documents are kept up to date and accessible, maintaining an appropriate structure and archiving system.
- Administer purchase orders (POs), ensuring these are raised in sufficient time in line with internal processes.
- Monitor IR activities, working with People Partners and relevant contract managers to track pay agreements and negotiations and ensure central transparency over these.
- Be proficient in diary management to ensure the People Director/team time is utilised effectively.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
- Strong organisational skills and able to work on multiple activities at the same time.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and to take initiative to deliver an outcome.
- Ability to communicate and develop positive relationships with senior management in HR and within the business as well as externally.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Capable of working calmly and accurately to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team and to proactively support the team in their duties.
- Maintain confidentiality by handling sensitive information with discretion and adhering to policies.
- Proficient in data analysis and management, including intermediate functions, formulas, and insights.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud & PowerBI preferred but not essential.
