Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on a Pharmaceutical Innovation Programme Singapore research project where you will be part of a collaborative team exploring innovative ways of understanding extrusion processing for pharmaceutical drug materials and products using rheological measurements.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will characterize mixtures of pharmaceutical excipients and drug materials to develop methodologies for screening hot-melt extrusion formulations and selecting optimal operating conditions using rheology, with the objective of producing amorphous-solid-dispersions. You will validate the developed processing space and operating conditions for extruded pharmaceutical formulations using a lab-scale extruder. In collaboration with researchers at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), you will characterize the physical properties and performance of intermediate pharmaceutical drug products. The created methods will be transferred to the industrial partner to enhance their product development process using rheological characterization.

More specific responsibilities include:

UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for August 2025 for a Teacher of High School and Middle School Design Technology.

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Associate (Computational and Laboratory Biology) in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Specifically, utilising data science approaches involving machine learning and artificial intelligence, A/Prof Gruber’s team focuses on the development and validation of biological ageing clocks for clinical translation and application, as well as in model organisms. Appointments will be made on a two-year contract basis, in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.

Purpose of the post

The successful candidate should have a strong background in both mathematical/machine learning methods and biological laboratory techniques. He or she will also be responsible for data analysis and for developing computational models, algorithms, and tools to analyse and interpret complex biological datasets derived from multi-omics data. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of statistical and machine learning methods, as well as expertise in programming languages such as R and/or Python with training in biology, biochemistry or a related discipline. Industry experience in biotech or pharma would be an advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will work with other team members to develop and validate biological ageing clock algorithms, and will be accountable to the Principle Investigator (PI). The Research Associate will be able to:

1. Process and extract biological samples (tissue and clinical origin) for -omics analysis;
2. Develop and apply computational models, algorithms, and tools to analyse and interpret large-scale biological datasets (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics);
3. Collaborate with experimental biologists to design and analyse experiments, and interpret results;
4. Develop and maintain databases and data pipelines for biological data;
5. Stay up-to-date on new computational methods and tools, and apply them to ongoing research projects;

Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact in people’s lives? We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Learning Facilitator to join our prison education programme. In this role, you’ll support both learners and educators, helping to deliver engaging educational activities and enrichment sessions that foster personal development and build essential skills.
As a Learning Facilitator, you will work one-on-one and in groups with learners, assisting them in consolidating their understanding and motivating them to pursue educational and personal growth. You’ll also play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment that encourages participation and helps reduce reoffending through education.
Evening and weekend work will be a requirement of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering educational activities that support both academic and personal skill development.
Provide individual and group support to help learners engage with course materials and improve self-confidence.
Help maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
Monitor and record learner attendance and progress.
Collaborate closely with teaching staff, prison officers, and other stakeholders to meet learners’ educational needs.
Requirements:
A Level 3 teaching qualification is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar is advantageous.
Experience in prison education or adult learning is an asset.

We are looking for qualified and experienced International School Music Teachers/Instructors to conduct Music lessons and enrichment classes at our school. You will have a very rewarding experience developing and delivering our Music curriculum for children's important formative years. You'll also:

• Engage young learners in various learning experiences
• Plan and facilitate lesson plans that improve children's development
• Communicate effectively with parents who are our partners in the children's development

• Diploma or higher in Music (or equivalent)
• At least three years of relevant teaching experience

As a Transitional Teacher (Special Education) CY-1701-11, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

• Prepare yearly instructional outlines and related daily lesson plans covering relevant units of study and specifying objectives, activities and evaluative methods/instruments for both group and individual instructional programs.
• Teach students by selecting, developing, adapting and implementing appropriate instructional methods and techniques utilizing available resources to provide for academic achievement.
• Continuously evaluate individual and group academic progress through the use of criterion-referenced tests, periodic standardized tests, oral tests, and/or other relevant evaluative methods/instruments.
• Develop and conduct instruction within an environment that provides and promotes opportunities for the students to develop rapport, inter-relationships, self-discipline and a positive self-image.
• Maintain control of assigned class(es) and handle discipline independently except for chronic or extreme behavior problems.
• Supervise assigned students as scheduled, or provide for their supervision, throughout the academic day and/or activity in order to provide for the safety, health, and welfare of the students in compliance with school, Agency, and Area Guidelines.
