Air Traffic Engineer
Hawarden Airport, CH4 0DR
Full time, Permanent
Salary range £36,000 to £59,088 dependent on experience
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team here at Hawarden Airport as an Air Traffic Engineer. You will be accountable to the SATE (Senior Air Traffic Engineer) for the efficient operation and maintenance of the airport and Air Traffic Services (ATS) Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) equipment in accordance with their duties contained within the ATE Group and Site Manuals of Air Traffic Engineering.
Additionally, the Air Traffic Engineering staff (ATE) at Hawarden are trained as Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) technicians; and where required, AGL Authorised Persons, to provide support and resilience to the AGL Engineer (AGL-E), in accordance with the Group and Site Manuals Aeronautical Ground Lighting.
Main accountabilities:
- Maintenance of their individual Personal Technical Certificate (PTC) and required role and equipment maintenance competencies, as applicable, in accordance with the ATE and Aeronautical Ground Lighting Training and Competence Programmes, including local; national/European regulatory and legislative, requirements.
- Ensuring all ATSEP (Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel) and Aeronautical Ground Lighting work carried out complies with Group and Site Manuals, CAA regulation and applicable legislation.
- Ensuring all work carried out is correctly documented and accounted for.
- Complying with all safety regulations/procedures and safety at work legislation requirements with regards to carrying out ATSEP and AGL tasks.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Trained to a minimum of HNC/ONC or Services equivalent with time served experience in electronics engineering
- Willing to complete full equipment training
- Ability to work at height and maintain required fitness
