Serco are currently recruiting for a Desktop Lifecycle Specialist to join our team in Lincoln County Council. The purpose of the role is to be a technical specialist with a specific focus on End User Desktop/Mobile and Cloud technologies.
You will work within BAU on all aspects of the desktop lifecycle and you will report to the Tech Services Team Leader.
Key Accountabilities
Provide technical expertise to internal customers.
- Troubleshooting and remediation of issues arising from the use of MEM/MEMC within agreed SLAs.
- Implementation and configuration of technology solutions aligned to design, security, and ongoing operational objectives, working with project delivery teams to ensure a smooth hand over into service.
- Acting as subject matter expert for MEM/MECM (Intune / SCCM).
- Provide guidance and mentoring to support operational teams.
- Maintains currency in technology skills/knowledge
What do I need to do the role?
- Experience of configuration of Cloud (MEM) and Windows solutions (Autopilot, Configuration Profiles etc)
- 3rd line support experience (managing critical infrastructure supporting public services desired) · Good Problem/Incident Management skills.
- Provide specialist knowledge to wider BAU teams.
- Good communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good customer service skills focused upon meeting customer needs.
- ITIL knowledge preferable.
- Ability to generate and present technical reports.
- Power Bi, Excel. · Strong MSOffice skills.
- MS Defender knowledge preferable.
- SCCM Knowledge preferable
