Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. The Integrated Sexual Health and HIV service provides over 20,000 Genitourinary Medicine appointments and 12,000 contraception appointments each year. The service is interlinked with the HIV service provided from Barking Community Hospital, which as a patient cohort of c.950. Many staff within the ISHS and the HIV service work across all service elements.

Pre coronavirus pandemic the service operated from four sites, with Barking Community Hospital as the main hub site operating 6 days per week, a Havering provision at Queen’s Hospital open three days per week and a Redbridge provision at Hainault Health Centre & Loxford Polyclinic open one day per week at each site. This role will be predominantly based at Barking Community Hospital.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Sexual Health Adviser to join our Integrated Sexual Health & HIV service.

Band 7 – MHST Senior Therapist

In January 2022, Barking and Dagenham achieved a significant milestone by establishing its first two Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) as part of the national MHST rollout during Wave 5/6. We have since received further funding for an additional team Wave 9.

The main responsibilities of the post:

In line with the Government’s priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the new MHSTs are an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early intervention for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

We have one full-time vacancy for a Band 7 within Barking and Dagenham.

The MHST Senior Clinical Supervisor plays a key role in:
• Forming strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Supervising our Band 6 and band 4 Trainee EMHP’s
• Providing consultation to education colleagues and supporting education settings to embed a whole school approach to wellbeing
• Developing and delivering evidence-based time limited interventions to young people within education settings

In addition to the above clinical knowledge, experience and competencies, supervisors will be expected to have experience of delivering CBT informed practice and supervision. Experience of delivering these interventions at low intensity is desirable.

We are working with a local NHS Trust who are seeking a Band 6 Health Visitor to join their 0-19 Universal Children's Services, based in Dagenham.

Rate of pay: £28 - £30 p/h Umbrella

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension

You will provide the Health Child programme for 0-5 children and families. Your main responsibilities will be supporting safeguarding, attending CP conferences, core groups, early help and mentoring, home visits and clinics for Universal Plus and Partnership Plus.
