 As the Catering Manager, your role will be to support the catering team in achieving high standards of service and customer care at all times, ensuring compliance with food safety legislation.

 Working as part of the team you will also promote the Café and Catering service with a view to increasing sales in line with the centre’s business objectives.

We share your passion for leisure, and we will offer a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities.  You will also receive free gym membership for you and a family member across our fantastic leisure centres! 
 Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust. 


About You

To be considered for this role, you will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Lockmeadow Health Club, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required.

 You will have knowledge and experience of supervision or management of a food retail operation or service led organisation, staff supervision and development, as well as administrative and financial processes.

 It is desirable that you hold a food certificate or equivalent, however this is not essential.

If you are passionate about communication and would relish the challenge of working in a blended role in Stroke rehabilitation and Acute inpatients we would like to meet you!

We are looking for an assistant to join our Acute Team and multi-disciplinary Stroke Rehabilitation Team based at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals to help in the delivery of our Speech and Language Therapy Service. We are looking for a flexible individual with an empathetic nature, who is keen, conscientious and fast learner. You must enjoy working on your own and as part of multiple teams.

You will be helping to perform early assessments and deliver therapy to patients under the direction of the Speech and Language therapy team. Some will have lost the ability to understand or use the spoken and\or written word, whilst others may have difficulty swallowing.

Your input will help support patients to regain these skills or, where this is not possible, to learn alternative ways of communicating, for example through gesture or drawing. In addition, you will be required to help with admin tasks, including the making of therapy resources to use with patients, inputting data and administering therapy groups.

We have an established assistant teaching programme to develop your knowledge and understanding. However, it would be beneficial to have had some previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, Therapy Assistant or Volunteer in a hospital or other health care environment, though this is not essential. Good communication and organisational skills are essential, and an engaging and creative outlook for delivering care highly desirable. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with therapists, nurses, doctors, the patient, their friends, carers and family.

As Community Nurses we support the needs of house bound patients living in and around the areas of Harrietsham. We enable and empower patients to self-care where possible so that patients can stay at home or in their chosen environment. We provide valuable care, supporting people to manage their long-term conditions and maximise their independence, which in turn can prevent admission into hospital or enable a quicker discharge if they are admitted.

As a service, we may provide wound management, palliative and end of life care and symptom control and catheter care. We also take blood and administer injectable medication. Our aim is to ensure that our patients have access to the care that they need, at the time they need it.

You’ll play a vital role in our multidisciplinary services; managing patients with complex needs in the community. You’ll have the freedom to plan care in your own way, with time to develop your assessment and treatment skills, and access to great supervision and a clinical lead to make sure you’re on the right track. We also have a nurturing preceptee programme and many development opportunities to support you.
