Your new role
As a Payroll & Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for processing all elements of the payroll for both weekly and monthly cycles, creating clock reports from time and attendance software, and managing wage queries and deductions. You will handle SSP calculations, tax code changes, and RTI submissions.. Additionally, you will manage HR tasks such as setting up new employees, conducting right-to-work checks, and sending out offers of employment. Your role will also include processing sales invoices, credit control, and maintaining records for invoicing retentions. Other duties include sorting and distributing incoming post and coding purchase invoices. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need attention to detail and good IT literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and able to work well in a fast-paced environment under their own initiative. Knowledge of the construction industry scheme would be ideal, although not essential.
What you'll get in return
