This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for CRD Business Analyst who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Assist in the development and enhancement of Charles River Compliance Services.
Assist in developing and evolving standardized, efficient processes in support of Compliance Services delivery.
Deliver the following service-related functions for Compliance Services clients:
Initial service setup/implementation, including business requirements such as regulatory/legal requirements, business processes/workflows, exception management, reporting, and rules of engagement.
Compliance software rule writing/testing, report writing, exception management, software configuration changes and software upgrade/regression testing.
Problem troubleshooting, support, and resolution.
Advising clients on “best practices” and optimal use of Compliance software.
Keep abreast of regional and global industry trends and regulatory issues.
Work closely with the SSGA team and Charles River to design and deliver regionally relevant services.
Actively participate in internal projects to optimize and scale the service.
Provide exemplary customer service.
Analyzing requirements and prepare function specification and data mapping
Engage with the technical architects to ensure designs are appropriate and then ensure those designs are implemented by the team.
Ensure any reusable code created and any innovative work done within the team is communicated.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
Worked in the CRIMS consolidation project to upgrade Charles River IMS from version 9 to 18R2
Strong coding experience on compliance tools – Charles River Development (CRD) or Charles River IMS (CRIMS)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Investment Company Act of 1940, Internal Revenue Code, UCITS III - V, MiFid, AIFMD etc.
Ability to understand and decipher Prospectus, Statement of Additional Information, Investment Policies, and Client Guidelines.
Experience with investment management Compliance software including functionality, workflows, configuration, rule writing and testing, reporting, exception investigation, and issue resolution.
A background in SEC, IRS, and Client Mandated Compliance is a good plus point.
Gather and Understanding of the customer requirement
Perform Unit and Integration Testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing
Production rollout and documentation
Experience in implementing projects in Charles River IMS and BlackRock Aladdin, Eagle Pace (Enterprise data), SS&C Sylvan (Performance & attribution) and HI portfolio (Accounting system)
Hands on experience in Charles River configurations that include manager workbench, blotters, rebalancing, system administration, compliance test, Batch import, trade export, reference data, cash flow forecast, stored queries, FIX setup, workflow monitor, navigations and user groups and permissions
Must be well versed with SAP Versions: ECC 6.0, SAP 4.7/4.6C, S/4 HANA 1809, SAP SD module ECC 6.00, SAP LE (Logistics Execution) module ECC 6.00, SAP S/4 HANA- Simple Logistics 1809 Version
Experience in technical skills that include writing SQL queries, stored procedures, Excel Macros and VBA, C#, Perl, JavaScript, Python, R*, business objects and Crystal reports*
Understanding of the full development life cycle and how various DevOps tools are used in the development including dev, testing, QA, deployment, and event configuring environments.
Experience in agile and scrum methodologies, DevOps and worked closely with business users, developers and product owners, flexible in adjusting to the need of the team and play versatile role as BA, Product owner or scrum master
The candidate with Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent would be preferred.
