Job objectives and responsibilities

A professional sales management post requiring good sales knowledge and skills in a technical environment. Working collabortaively with the MIS Sales team, who will drive sales across the MIS Division and the wider Mitie, the BDM will be responsible for expanding sales and selling opportunity across a wide and diverse customer base. Main duties

An opportunity has arisen for an Orthopaedic Optimisation Project Lead Fixed at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust.

We have funding for an exciting new project which will manage Orthopaedic referrals for the South-east of London. The APP team in the integrated musculoskeletal Service will work together on this project andan opening has arisen within the team to participate in and supportthis exciting initiative whilst maintain clinical waiting times and meeting of activity targets.

The role provides leadership in expanding FCP clinics in primary care, working in MCATTs clinics in the Trust and as a clinical specialist in the Guys and St Thomas’ musculoskeletal outpatient department.

-Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, with experience in the construction industry (building fabric, building services and minor works), to join our Local Government and Education (LG&E) Team delivering programmes of lifecycle and minor capital works across several sites in the Southbank area of the UK.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the works in the most cost-effective manner, demonstrating ‘value for money' to the clients, across Mitie's portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will identify and procure the services of specialist designers and contractors as required to successfully deliver their allocated programmes. It will be the Senior Project Manager's responsibility to manage compliance with Mitie and client agreed project delivery methodology, governance and gateway approvals. The Senior Project Manager will also take ownership of Health and Safety, so that projects are effectively managed in accordance with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor duties as appropriate. They will be responsible for monitoring and controlling all change, in accordance with the relevant contract requirements.

The position will be mobile covering the London Southbank University Campus with the ideal candidate based locally. Please note that there may be, on occasions, travel to sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

-Ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with the contract, corporate governance arrangements and all relevant Health and Safety legislation.

-Management of multiple programmes across a diverse portfolio.

-Quality assurance and overall integrity of their projects.

-Managing the budgets across multiple locations through liaison with the local Operational Team.

-Facilitating the appointment of Design Teams and Contractors.

Knowledge Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

-Preferably degree qualified in a surveying or construction related discipline.

-Membership of a construction related institute e.g. RICS/CIOB/RIBA/CIBSE/MIET or APM Membership preferable.

-A relevant Health & Safety qualification

-Knowledge of PFI type contracts (preferred but not essential)

Experience:

-The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project development and delivery with a demonstrable experience of pre construction and construction phases and delivery of multiple projects or programmes of work.

-They must be:

-Fully conversant with all applicable legislation, regulations and standards.

-Able to produce programmes and cost targets which are reviewed and revised as necessary throughout the programme delivery, possibly in liaison with other functional areas and expertise.

-Have the ability to establish vision and direction, to influence and align others towards a common purpose and to empower and inspire people to achieve project success.

-Have the ability to plan projects and programmes of work.

-Able to capture stakeholder briefs, analysing and testing the documented statement of stakeholders and user requirements.

-Able to determine the overall duration of projects, when activities and events are planned to happen, including the identification of activities, interdependencies, estimation of activity durations.

-Have the ability to tailor and implement project processes to reflect client requirements.

-Competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project (desirable).

-Management experience of delivering multiple projects or programmes of work simultaneously (project values ranging from £1K to £2,000,000).

-You must be able to deliver the above at pace, working within multiple deadlines and duties and also deliver works accurately.

-You will be expected to work to your own initiative, whilst also working well as an integral team member.

-Likely to have worked for a consultancy practice or FM provider, managing design teams and/ or a contractor.

We play a leading role in delivering the House of Commons' Strategy and corporate priorities through business and financial planning, analysing performance, and supporting the delivery of projects and programmes across Parliament. The Role

The Business Management Team (BMT) is a sub team within FPP and provides executive level support to Directors in FPP and PACT, including secretariat for both senior leadership teams and a comprehensive business support function.

This role will support the Business Management Director (BMD) to deliver strategy and planning support within both teams across FPP and PACT. It is responsible for the development of business plans as well as ensuring agreed plans are monitored and reported appropriately.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Manage the business management cycle, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the annual timetable and agreeing deliverables with responsible owners.
• Support the planning process to capture and report strategic objectives for inclusion to the Corporate Business Plan.
