General Overview

The position is part of the Instrument Control and Electrical(ICE) team who is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective site execution of all electrical maintenance services and activities at the LNG Terminal.

Roles and ResponsibilIties

The incumbent shall be responsible for tasks and duties such as but not limited to the following:

• Ensuring compliance with SLNG safety procedures, local and international electrical codes and standards

Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years (or 15 years for diploma) of experience in an oil and gas/petrochemical E&I maintenance supervisory role
• Expert knowledge and proficiency in low and medium voltage electrical system, power transmission, network communication equipment, Motors, CCTV, security system, Earthing, lightning protection and PLC system is mandatory. Knowledge in DCS an added advantage to excel in the role

General Overview

This position is part of the Production team performing LNG Terminal operations of loading and unloading of LNG from vessels and re-gasification process of LNG for the natural gas pipeline network supply. The position requires the incumbent to perform fieldwork and operate the DCS. The incumbent will work closely with the marine, technical and maintenance team to perform the operations.

Roles and ResponsibilIties

The primary duties are listed as follows:

• Perform routine field inspections on equipment operating conditions to ensure safe operating limits.
• Perform unloading of chemicals/utilities into receiving tanks.
• Perform jetty operations such as berthing in of vessels, operating marine loading arms and undertake Loading Master role.
• Operate DCS to monitor and control the overall terminal process within the design parameters and to meet customers’ gas nomination requests.

Work Experience

• Preferably with knowledge of plant instrumentation and control systems and DCS.
• Practical working knowledge of mechanical equipment, heat transfer equipment cryogenic equipment, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, LNG tanks, fired equipment and flare systems.
• Experience in mechanical systems and process plants desired, knowledge of cryogenics and aspects of the natural gas industry is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The candidate shall supervise and review the design of the electrical team by checking specifications, schedules, datasheets, drawings, and 3D models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to.
• The candidate shall have experience gained by delivering projects across the complete project lifecycle, from front-end engineering design (FEED) through detailed design, technical assurance, testing and commissioning, and final handover.
• The candidate shall review clients, design engineers and/or third-party design and information to determine suitability and liaise with those concerned to obtain further information if necessary.
• The candidate shall liaise with other disciplines within the organisation or the project team to ensure that all design elements are fully integrated.
• The candidate shall have a good understanding in the technical execution of process plant systems within intricate water industry.
• The candidate shall have good proficiency in participating in design and construction initiatives utilising digital design methodologies.
• The candidate shall have experience in leading design consultancy and delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• The candidate shall be able to write and review technical documentation (technical specifications, control philosophies, URS).
• The candidate shall have good knowledge ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules and system requirements within process/industrial environment.
• The candidate shall have proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following applicable standards, working practices and national guidance.
• The candidate shall produce design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• The candidate shall ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
• The candidate shall provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department as required
• The candidate shall work through procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
• The candidate shall write, update and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
• The candidate shall ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
• The candidate shall Ensure that design takes full regard for all health and safety requirements.
• The candidate shall support and help resolve any site technical difficulties & other problems that may arise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Candidate shall have about 5 years experience in instrumentation, control and automation design works, preferably with contractor experience.
• Experience working on water and sewage treatment projects will be an advantage.
• Ability to rationalize designs and produce economic plant layouts.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
• Able to work independently in producing the project deliverables to meet project timeline.
• Proficient in written and oral communication with good interpersonal skills.
