About the role

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Valetor/Driver to join our team at Avonmouth

You will be responsible for delivering and collecting hire vehicles to and from various locations in the local and surrounding areas, cleaning hire vehicles and completing any other role related tasks.

About you

You must hold a full driving licence with a D1 driving licence category (vehicles with between 9 and 16 passengers) and a C1 driving licence category (Vehicles between 3500kg and 7500kg, with a trailer up to 750KG). A clean driving licence is preferred however minor points will be considered.

You will have the ability to work within given timescales, be able to work on one's own initiative as well as being a team member

Day's Motorgoup at Haverfordwest is looking for a driven, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join it's well established and respected Ford service team.

The position involves:

• Vehicle servicing and repair of light vehicles
• Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.

The successful applicant will be required to exhibit the following skills:

• Ability for multi-tasking.
• An eye for detail.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Qualified to the NVQ 3 standard or the equivalent City and Guilds in vehicle maintenance
• Will have demonstratable experience in a similar role
• A clean driving licence, ideally with D1 entitlement would be an advantage for this role
• The candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Be eligible to work in the UK

What will your role as a look like?

• Providing vehicle maintenance from a base repair workshop and mobile solution across an expanding regional branch network.
• Undertaking scheduled maintenance
• Responding to breakdowns
• Diagnosing faults
• Repairing vehicles and equipment
• Reporting to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager and working as part of a valued team

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to train towards an NVQ Level 3 in the service and repair of commercial vehicles using all the latest diagnostic equipment and technology. Training will consist of on the job training at the dealership as well as attending block release training at the manufacturer's training facility

About you

The successful applicants will have excellent practical skills, will have the ability to work well in a team as well as on their own, will have good communication skills and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Shortlist applicants may need to take a numeracy and literacy test. Applicants must possess a GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent qualification.

The successful candidate will earn circa £25,500 per annum.
