Accountant duties and responsibilities of the job
Here at AMKCO Pte Ltd we are looking for an Accountant who wants to build a long term career with us. We are looking for an individual who is a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident only.
Qualifications for Accountant
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
· At least 5 years of accounting experience
· Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Experience with accounting software
· Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
· Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
· Highly detail-oriented
Accountant job description is a dynamic role with a multitude of responsibilities, including:
· Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
· Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
· Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
· Responsible for annual stock-take reconciliation report
· Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
· Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
· Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal.
