Role and Responsibilities:

- Manage permanent works design subcontract packages to achieve delivery of cost-effective and compliant Contractor's design within agreed timescales and fee budgets.
- Implement design management procedures so as to comply with ISO 9001 design requirements and Client requirements for management of contractor's design specified in the Contract.
- Lead project's implementation of Value Engineering, Design for Health and Safety BIM.

About the Role of Bid Manager

We are looking to expand our Work Winning team with a skilled and enthusiastic Bid Manager to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire or our London Paddington Office.

You will drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender, following designated processes and best practice in place within the organisation.

You will ensure that a coherent bid strategy in developed, working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director and continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance our chance of bid success.

Requirements for Bid Manager

• Sound knowledge of the UK construction market and knowledge of relevant legislation and Civil Engineering.
• Previous experience in a pre-construction position involved in the Bid stage.
• You must have commercial awareness of different forms of contract and strong presentation and client communication skills.
• A sound knowledge of the governance and procedural requirements for work winning are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
