Responsibilities of our Student Engagement Coordinator – ‘Enrichment’:


Planning and delivering a termly calendar of cross-college enrichment activities, including:


Events linked to awareness days.
Sports and cultural events.
Activities that encourage cultural engagement (e.g., museum visits, theatre trips, music events, foreign language/culture clubs, film clubs).
Activities that develop community and civic awareness (e.g., volunteering projects, social action)
Activities that provide physical activity (e.g., sports, fitness classes, outdoor recreation).
Activities that foster creativity and self-expression (e.g., art, music, dance, creative writing).


Supporting curriculum areas to plan and deliver departmental enrichment activities, including:


Providing guidance and resources to departments.
Collaborating with departments to ensure a diverse and inclusive offering of activities.
Encouraging departments to offer activities available to all students.


Supporting student voice initiatives, ensuring students' views and ideas are communicated and ‘You Said We Did’ actions shared.
Supporting the planning and promotion of student CPD week activities.
Supporting the creation and running of student-led clubs and societies.
Monitoring and reporting on attendance and engagement to enrichment activities.
Working collaboratively with the Senior/Wider Leadership Team to ensure the successful implementation of the Enrichment Strategy.
Building strong partnerships with local businesses, charitable organisations, alumni, and local agencies to provide real-world enrichment opportunities.


What we’re looking for in our Student Engagement Coordinator – ‘Enrichment’:


GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths or willing to work towards
Experience in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive enrichment activities.
Understanding of the benefits of enrichment for students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Understanding of equality and diversity issues.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Deliver teaching and learning across a range of qualification types, ensuring stretch, challenge, and engagement of learners.
Plan and prepare lessons and contribute to all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans, online resources, etc.
Mark learners work, providing meaningful feedback on how improvements can be made.
Maintain accurate records and monitor learner attendance and progress, planning additional support when required.

What we’re looking for in our Head of Learner Services:


Qualified to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.

Evidence of continuing professional development that includes specialisation in FE. / HE / Apps / 14-16 learner services setting.
Up-to-date and specialist knowledge of the FE Sector, in particular the policy developments about Learner Services and Safeguarding.
Up to date knowledge of the HE sectors and experience of leading services for HE students.
Up to date knowledge of all provision types normally found within a GFE college.
Experience of customer services, enrichment, tutorial, finance related matters in an FE based 14-16 setting.

You will generate results in line with departmental targets and drive the team to constantly deliver growth and service improvements.

Lead individual and team targets in respect of a range of income streams including Apprenticeships, Adults Skills and Project funding.

Be accountable for the building of mutually beneficial relationships, partnerships and external opportunities with all college stakeholders and colleagues across the college.

Working collaboratively with the wider leadership team in establishing and continually developing the colleges commercial provision by generating strong relationships and understanding around revenue streams including but not limited to, apprenticeships, high level technical qualifications, study programme, adult programmes and HE offer.

Be accountable for creating a culture of continuous improvement, which delivers agreed quality standards across all areas of the employer and student experience, ensuring that targets for learner recruitment, income, retention, achievement, and progression are challenging and achieved.

Regularly report progress of employer engagement activity & college stakeholder matters to the Executive, Senior Management Team Wider Leadership Team and Standards Committee.

Work collaboratively with Director colleagues to provide operational delivery of T Level Industry Placements, Study Programme Work Experience and HE Work Placements across college curriculum.

Champion the employer voice and lead on responding to and action planning feedback to further drive improvements in their experience.


What we’re looking for in our Head of Business Development:

Ability to think strategically and lead your team to grow business and provision in line with the colleges' strategic plan in a range of programmes.

Providing prompt administrative service support to the HR services team and across the business

Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery:


Delivering high quality teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities
Planning, prepare and update all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials, using Canvas

Responsibilities of our Creative Videographer:


Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce high-quality video content that promotes the college's brand, supports student recruitment, and enhances our digital presence.
Lead on creating project-based video content for digital training modules, award submissions, and other strategic initiatives as guided by the Executive Director of Digital Transformation.
Manage the end-to-end video production process, including concept development, filming, editing, and post-production.
Develop motion graphics and animations to enhance video content, ensuring it is visually engaging and fit for various purposes, platforms, and channels including social media, websites, and digital advertising.
Work closely with various departments to ensure video content aligns with the college's strategic goals, project objectives, and adheres to brand guidelines.
Ensure all content is inclusive and accessible, with a key focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles.
Develop and maintain a video content schedule, ensuring timely delivery of all video projects.
Report directly to the Director of Marketing while managing external project requirements led by the Executive Director of Digital Transformation.

Secure the consent of all subjects featured in videos and handle data according to GDPR regulations.


What we’re looking for in our Creative Videographer:


Degree in Videography, Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Relevant certifications in video production, motion graphics, or animation tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
Proven experience as a Videographer in a marketing, educational, or digital transformation context

As our Exams and Registration Officer, you will provide high quality On-Demand exam and registration services to support Adult Skills Growth in both Phoenix and Employability. Support the Assistant Head of the Phoenix future skills, along with the Exams and Registration Manager in monitoring and maintaining examination standards and Awarding Organisation compliance, and supporting with day-to-day supervision, planning and process improvement.
Responsible for a caseload of Phoenix Skills areas, business partners, or specific streams of work, working proactively with tutors, staff, students and awarding bodies in respect of examination requirements, entries, results and communication, ensuring accuracy of all qualification and unit data.
Lead on the preparation and management of examinations to meet the Phoenix Skills requirements. Ensure effective planning and organisation of exam timetables, rooming, invigilation, exam materials and communication with students and staff.
Lead on the co-ordination of the Institute’s SV/EQA activity working closely with the Exams Manager and quality team.
Oversee the conduct of examinations and the security of papers and scripts, within the College and Partner areas, to ensure full compliance with JCQ standards and examination board regulations.
Responsible for the annual set up of ProSolution examinations data, ensuring accuracy of all aspects of data relating to the Phoenix Skills and its partner organisations.

To lead the development, implementation and review of effective strategies to manage student engagement, for example, NSS and provide regular progress reports on College level issues and outcomes including the implementation and review of action plans in response to student satisfaction issues.
Working closely with the link Quality manager, lead on the annual self-assessment of the department and subsequent quality improvement plan to ensure quality improvement KPIs are met.
To lead on ensuring HE governance through committee structure is robust including acting as chair.
To regularly report progress on curriculum matters to the HE Academic Board, SLT and Standards Committee.
