THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Partnership Activation Manager to join the Insomniac Brand Partnership team.  The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sponsorship plans to maximize the value of Partnerships through effective onsite activation and end-to-end customer service. The Partnership Activation Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and sponsors, ensuring seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables and innovate activation initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement.  This is not a remote position and is based in our Calabasas, CA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish new partnerships for the INS event portfolio to achieve annual revenue goals

  • Prospect, sell, cultivate, and maintain corporate partnerships for Insomniac Festivals in both new and renewal business

  • Design of sales proposals and presentations for potential partners

  • Analyze specific marketing needs of prospects based on partner objectives, market strategies, category potential, activation potential and financials

  • Effectively present proposals and campaign ideas to internal and external stakeholders

  • Create and socialize ideas and strategies to make Insomniac event activations and partnerships far-reaching, highly engaging, and thematic with each festival brand

• Manage numerous client accounts simultaneously across various Insomniac festival properties

  • Lead client communications and act as the Insomniac liaison between the clients and internal departments

  • Develop, manage, and execute all aspects of 360 brand activation plans which can include creative design, footprint development, fabrication, sourcing branded premiums, managing brand ambassadors, set up / tear down, touring activations, etc..

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of planning and implementation of internal and external sponsorship partners for onsite logistics pre, during, and post events

  • Advance logistics is including but not limited to venue needs, power, labor, travel, trucking, WIFI, décor, rentals, additional on-site brand integrations and promotional materials

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to oversee and execute all contractual facets of event partnerships are met.  Including marketing, PR, content, online, ticketing, and on-site experiences

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, vendors, internal stakeholders, and sponsorship partners

  • Provide excellent communication with vendors, improve client results, develop event recaps, manage budgets, and stay on timelines

• Travel to events to lead load-in operations for INS sponsorship partners, assist in the build needs, anticipate client needs, problem solve in real-time and always preform impeccable customer service.  This role will be on-call during events.

• Coordinate with clients, INS and Live Nation operations teams to ensure that all sponsorship assets are fulfilled, and event logistics are met.

• Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure expectations are exceeded timely and accurately (Creation of POs, job codes and adding new clients as vendors into our systems etc.)

• Train and provide support in onboarding team members, clients, vendors and partners when needed

• All other projects and initiatives as identified by the team

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of experience in partnership and/or sponsorship activation production management and sales in live events preferably music festivals  

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for effectively pitching sponsorship opportunities, negotiating deals, and building relationships with clients and partners

• Ability to think strategically and develop creative sponsorship activation ideas that align with clients' objectives and resonate with target audiences

• Proven ability to negotiate terms, pricing, and deliverables with sponsors and vendors to achieve mutually beneficial alignments

• Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering results within budget

• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude

• Practice extreme ownership and take accountability for the actions of yourself and the team

• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges

THE ROLE:

Insomniac Events is currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Mid-Level Graphic Designer with an impeccable attention to detail and a strong design sense to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior designers, art directors, and creative directors, collaborating on the creation of visually appealing designs that align with our company's brand identity and objectives. Additionally, they will be responsible for designing campaign deliverables and finding effective solutions for designing across various formats. We are looking for a designer who is passionate about their craft and eager to grow and develop their skills. This position reports directly to the Head of Design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design Creation: Assist in the creation of a wide range of design materials, including but not limited to marketing collateral, print advertisements, branding assets, website graphics, social media content, infographics, presentations, and packaging.

• Design Modifications: Collaborate with the design team to make necessary modifications and revisions to existing designs based on feedback and requirements.

• Brand Consistency: Maintain brand consistency throughout all design projects, ensuring adherence to established brand guidelines and standards.

• Layout and Composition: Apply advanced design techniques, typography, and color theory to create aesthetically pleasing layouts that effectively communicate the intended message and engage the target audience.

• Concept Development: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for design concepts, leveraging your experience and understanding of design principles to create impactful and effective visual solutions.

• Art Direction: Provide guidance on design best practices to junior designers, ensuring the quality and consistency of design deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years experience in the Graphic Design field preferred or a related field.

• A degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills will also be considered.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with design principles, layout, and typography. Proficient Mac user.

• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop unique design concepts that effectively communicate messages and evoke desired emotions.

• Strong eye for detail and the ability to deliver accurate and precise designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project requirements.

THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Marketing Intern to join the Marketing team in Los Angeles. This position will assist & learn about several of the key teams underneath the marketing umbrella to achieve a well-rounded knowledge of Insomniac’s marketing ecosystem. This position reports to the Director, Marketing Technology. This is a paid internship and is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with and shadow leads from all Insomniac’s marketing divisions, including festival marketing, concert marketing, marketing technology, digital advertising, brand strategy, and more
• Contribute creative ideas to marketers and social team, helping to generate campaigns, create engaging content, and research trends in alignment with our brands
• Content management for various projects in the marketing technology space, including web, email, Insomniac App, and SMS
• Assist with project management tasks via Asana, including streamlining asset approvals, improving organization, and submitting tickets
• Assist social team with copywriting, photos, third-party event site listings, and Headliner audience engagement
• Assist digital advertising team with performance dashboards, data visualization, on-sale trackers, and simple campaign setup

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be able to work out of Calabasas, CA office 
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Highly proficient in presentation development, with excellent writing and communication abilities
• Experience with image editing software preferred (such as Photoshop or Canva)
• Typical commitment is 10-24 hours per week

THE ROLE

The VIP Activations team member should be energetic, social and ready to engage with all of our Headliners. There are various activations that are featured at each festival, ranging from arts & crafts, to food and beverage stations, to scavenger hunts and charitable giveaways. Therefore, the ability to adapt to a diverse and creative set of tasks will be a huge benefit to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have knowledge of all VIP activations and offerings, be able to communicate enthusiastically and informatively about them

• Knowledge of general festival information (i.e. hours of the show, stage names, major performing artists, location of the nearest medic tent, ATM, water station, etc.)

• Assist in set up of VIP area before doors open, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the festival

• Creative and flexible with various tasks, and willing to get the Headliners excited about any and all activations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Large-scale event experience– exceeding 5,000 attendees

• Proactive and creative thinker; problem solving and ability to “think on your feet”

THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Production Runner to support the responsibilities of Insomniac’s Back of House Department. This position reports to the Back of House Manager. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide transportation for various personnel throughout the show day, such as hotel and airport pickups and drop offs using either personal car or company-provided vehicle

• Run errands such as department meals, laundry, grocery shopping, package delivery, equipment rentals, coffee runs, etc.

• Coordinate large take-out orders with local restaurants, purchasing, retrieving, and distributing to touring personnel

• Coordinate large shopping lists from local grocery stores, deliver to the venue

• Assist production staff with general production-related duties

• Maintain cash and receipts for expense reimbursement and reconciliation

• Provide local area information to touring staff

• Pick up and drop off company-rented 15-passenger and cargo vans

• Light administrative duties such as making copies, posting signs and cash reconciliation

• Confidentiality is very critical to the role

• Various special projects and tasks assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 21 years of age or older

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record and fully insured

• Safe driving habits a must

• Operational cell phone

• Friendly and personable, works well with others but also able to work independently

• Punctual, reliable, responsible, professional and courteous

• Able to work a long day (typical show day runs anywhere to 10 to 18 hours)

THE ROLE

The Insomniac Passport Team Member should be energetic, social, and ready to engage with all of our program members. There are various activations that are featured at select festivals, ranging from arts & crafts, to food and beverage stations, to interactive games and charitable giveaways. Therefore, the ability to adapt to a diverse and creative set of tasks will be a huge benefit to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have knowledge of the Insomniac Passport program and its offerings and  be able to communicate enthusiastically and informatively about them.
• Be able to effectively use a laptop computer to cross reference various spreadsheets to check-in members on-site at our activations.
• Knowledge of general festival information (i.e. hours of the show, stage names, major performing artists, location of the nearest medic tent, ATM, water station, etc.).
• Assist in set up & strike of the Insomniac Passport area(s) while maintaining a clean and organized workspace during the festival.
• Be creative and flexible with various tasks, and willing to get the Headliners excited about any and all activations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Large-scale event experience– exceeding 5,000 attendees
• Proactive and creative thinker; problem solving and ability to “think on your feet”
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel (as needed)
• Personable, enthusiastic and able to work well in group environments.

THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Ground Control and Headliner Experience Team Member to provide an exceptional experience to headliners. This position will report to Ground Control and Headliner Experience Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome attendees at entrances and make everyone aware of Ground Control’s presence and purpose
• Abide by assigned shift schedule, pump water at the free water refill stations and patrol the event zones at correct times with assigned group mates
• Learn how to operate a two-way radio and perform emergency medical calls
• Listen attentively to the radio and respond immediately to specific calls and requests
• Assist distressed individuals when they are in need of a helping hand
• Memorize information provided by the event website, festival guide and staff guide to share with attendees
• Understand evacuation procedures and locate safe refuge locations prior to the opening of each show
• Provide support at entrance areas using megaphones to assist Headliners with directional support

QUALIFICATIONS

• Customer service-related work experience is preferred
• Experience using radios and ability to work under pressure in stressful environments is required
• Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
• Must be able to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner and de-escalate situations before they become unpleasant.

THE ROLE

The Box Office Attendant will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service related to ticketing at the box office or ticket resolution areas. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participate in a training session for the Front Gate box office system in order to effectively help patrons who need assistance regarding their ticket order. 

• Quickly and efficiently identify a customer’s will call order by verifying all pertinent customer information including the customer’s name, email and credit card in order to distribute tickets to patron’s properly. 

• Resolve any scanning issues that may occur with a patron’s ticket at the gate in a timely and courteous manner. 

• Accurately administer cash and credit card transactions with Front Gate POS system. 

• Contact supervisor for unanswered questions 

• Maintain a professional, upbeat attitude and smile at all times in a fast paced environment 

• Keep area clean and organized 

• Understand surroundings and all published festival information and be prepared to provide effective, correct information about the event 

• Take extraordinary initiative when answering attendee’s questions 

• Treat all attendees with equal respect and sincerity 

• Understand evacuation procedures and safe refuge locations prior to the opening of each show

Insomniac is looking for Artist Relations support. This position will report to the Artist Relations Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet artists/crew upon arrival of the stage

• Radio artist compound staff in appropriate time to gather the artist from their dressing rooms

• Be readily available and visible to tour manager on stage should he/she need anything

• Communicate with hospitality if rider needs to be adjusted or brought to stage

• Bring hospitality items back from your stage each night

• Communicate with stage manager on what credentials should be allowed on stage at different times (this changes throughout the day)

• Ensure photographers and videographers have proper satin credentials to shoot on stage

• Communicate with artist relations manager if you have issue with personnel saying they should be on stage

• Maintain positive and helpful attitude toward all artists, crew and their guests on the stage and in the backstage area

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in Artist Relations

• 1+ years of management experience is preferred, including managing, developing and leading teams as well as optimizing and reorganizing teams to most effectively meet business needs

• Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Office

THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking highly motivated & organized Performer Attendants ( PA’s ) to join the entertainment team at festivals & other music events.  This position plays a critical role by ensuring the overall quality of the Insomniac experience for headliners & staff members alike. This position reports to the Entertainment director & entertainment Project Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the workflow of designated performers on the event grounds or at a set location

• Ensure team well-being & hydration

• Carry water & necessary items for performers at events

• Keep performer teams on schedule, monitor break times & time out performances

• Liaise between the performer teams & stage managers to coordinate performance access

• Facilitate photo ops with characters & headliners

• Navigate performers through crowds & have a comprehensive understanding of the site footprint

• Complete rotations of any designated checkpoints throughout events

• Assist the Entertainment Department Managers with needed tasks & duties

• Interact courteously & professionally with headliners & employees at all times

• Work late show hours, weekends or overtime as needed

• Work effectively under a high level of pressure & demanding time lines

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Festival, Film or Television production experience is highly desirable

• Backgrounds in management, team lead, security, military or project management are a plus

• Experience with radio protocol is beneficial but is not required

• Strong supervisory, leadership, and communication skills

• Energy, enthusiasm & people skills

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

• Physically able to sustain prolonged periods of walking or standing in all weather conditions

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the first face of Insomniac for staff check in

• Check government issued IDs to ensure proper identification of all personnel entering site

• Promptly solve issues that arise by utilizing resources and clear communication

• Proactively seek out errors in credential uploads and fix them before staff arrival

• Act as a key-holder for the credential office, ensuring safety and security

• Assist in administrative tasks as needed

• Ensure materials get inventoried and transported back to warehouse

THE ROLE

The Site Experience Laborer is responsible for ensuring the success of the event productions by performing the technical and physical aspects related to show production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs the load-in and out of department equipment and props

• Assist with audio/lighting cabling as needed

• Responsible for communicating details of the event to crew leads

• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and props

• Comply with company safety regulations

• Operate and care for work areas in a safe, clean manner

• Project a professional image by working steadily, being a team player and being responsible for personal actions

• Safely operate various types of utility vehicles and heavy equipment providing appropriate certification

• Follow all safety, corporate and department policies

• Follow written and verbal instructions

• Assist with emergency and unscheduled repairs

THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Merchandise Booth Cashier to join the Merchandise team. We are seeking Merchandise Booth Cashiers who will be responsible for many tasks, including ringing up customers’ purchases at their booths, follow directions from management, and maintain best practices for the department and organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle merchandise purchase transactions. Ensure customer is satisfied with product being purchased before completing the transaction.

• Count in all product received. Count out all product at the end of the show.

• Help set up merch booth and product displays based on guidance from Insomniac Merch mgmt. team.

• Input the correct products into the cash register or Point of Sale (POS), to ensure accurate inventory is kept

• Provide excellent customer service and relations

• Help maintain booth cleanliness and organization throughout festival or event.

• Follow all safety and theft prevention procedures

• Execute day to day tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Cash handling experience is required

• Must have great customer service skills

• Must be well organized and detail- oriented

• Basic math and counting skills are required

• General knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows

• Travel is required to and from work location; lodging is not provided.

• Must successfully pass background check

THE ROLE:

Seasonal HR staff supports the full-time Insomniac HR team with processing new hire on-boarding steps via HRIS system, I9 verification, enter new employee data, create employee IDs and assist with employee time keeping.  Reports to full-time Insomniac HR team.         

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong customer service skills as this position is the face of HR during staff check-in

• Process new hires through job requisitions through Workday HRIS system

• Confidentially work with sensitive employee information

• Verify employee's I-9 documents

• Follow through with tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision

• Time keeping support for seasonal employees

• Assist HR and employees with on-site payroll and general HR inquiries, questions and concerns

• Other payroll and HR audit duties/special projects as required

• Some travel may be required (economy)

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of administrative or assistant experience

• Human Resources on-boarding experience is preferred

• Flexible with ever-changing duties and schedules

• Working knowledge of the I9 verification process

• Works well under pressure while maintaining close attention to detail and organization

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Workday and Time Clock Plus knowledge is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

• Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

• Must be able to stand on your feet for up to four hours at a time and walk long distances

THE ROLE

Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Production Assistant to support the responsibilities of Insomniac’s Back of House Department. This position reports to the Back of House Manager. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Project Manager in developing, organizing and executing production different festival area operations.
• Contribute to compiling advance documents relating to several festival areas.
• Act as a Vendor Liaison for all related areas of production.
• Communicate production needs in a concise and effective manner to all contributing teams.
• Support in document organization relating to all aspects of advancing, set up documents and correspondence between vendors and production departments.
• Assist in organization of advance documents relating to the executive producer branch in our organizational chart.
• Facilitate the advance credential materials for all related vendors and staff involved with the projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent comprehension and retention in excel, word and PowerPoint.
• Effective and concise communication skill set in electronic and verbal mediums.
• Adaptive in fast-paced environments.
• Seasoned in event planning, management, and coordination.
• Well versed in communicating with multiple vendors and advancing event production needs.
• High ability level to balance multiple projects and tasks at the same time. 
• Proven track record to meet deadlines.
• Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
• Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
• Must be able to continuously stand or walk.
