This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serves as the Information Assurance (IA)/Computer Network Defense (CND) Officer (IAO/CNDO) for operational assets of a program/project/element.

As a IT Specialist (Security) at the NH-2210-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) and develop all necessary artifacts (System Security Planning, System Categorization, System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action & Milestone (POA&M) and Cyber scorecard) on key components of the Missile Defense Agency Enterprise Networks.
• Ensure the Cybersecurity, Resiliency, Survivability, Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of systems, networks and data, IAW DoD Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01 and other applicable OMB, DoD, CNSS, NIST and Agency publications.
• Manage the Local Control Center (LCC/Tier III) activities and collaborate with the MDA (Tier II) CyberSecurity Service Provider (CSSP) to monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor the Cyber Tasking Order (CTO) program and coordinate with administrators on CTO requirements and reporting to include incident response with MDA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The primary purpose of this position is for paralegal support within MDA's Office of the General Counsel. As a PARALEGAL SPECIALIST at the NH-0950-03 level some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Performs extensive and thorough legal research into the legislative history, present cases, decisions, and opinions that may be necessary for developing the analysis of issues pertaining to labor and employment law, FOIA requests and appeals, and Federal acquisition and contracting actions.
• Compiles accurate and factual information using electronics systems; maintains comprehensive electronics files; and processes and tracks data and statistics of office programs.
• Conducts document reviews and performs comprehensive legal analysis of responses to requests for information submitted under the provisions of various acts.
• Presents findings and recommendations on complex issues or problems impacting well-established programs and projects.
• Provides high-level professional organizational and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel and it's leadership by preparing detailed reports related to office programs, managing and effectively organizing information.
• Drafts and redacts advisories, correspondences, memoranda, forms or reports and other written materials for internal use and submission to courts, administrative tribunals, opposing counsel, and other entities, while exercising attention to detail, in adherence with established policies and procedures.
• Organizes and manages workflow for attorneys, including tracking workload, prior participation, and subject matter expertise.
• Participates in providing direct legal services to clients on case and/or program assignments, including but not limited to handling, under attorney oversight, reviews related to contracts, procurement, ethics, research, privacy, release of information and other legal service areas.

As a General Engineer at the NH-0801-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serves as a technical consultant for critical decisions related to engineering, quality, mission assurance, and program management. Assures engineering, quality, and mission assurance functions and operations performed competently.
• Coordinates and implements strategies for the execution of quality, mission assurance and assurance integrations.
• Establishes and assesses compliance with standards for quality, mission assurance, and assurance integration. Oversees policy development, workflow management, and cultivation of functional. discipline expertise.
• Ensures lessons learned related to Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance documented and shared with the MDA community for Missile Defense System (MDS) design, development, test, and operations.
• Serves as an expert on Quality, Mission Assurance, Assurance Integration, technical, and engineering consultant to other MDA and DoD stakeholders.
• Represents MDA/QS on field visits to assist in the planning, development, acquisition, and execution of the quality, mission assurance, and assurance integration programs and processes.

As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Assist with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
• Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives.
• Correlate PM objectives with Program plans to assure that the required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
• Coordinate and evaluate logistics support in accordance with Performance Based Logistics (PBL) to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time.
• Research and develop Department of Defense (DoD) and MDA logistics directives and instructions.
• Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focusing on delivering a BMDS capability that is effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements.

As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Directs develops, and performs multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating, and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) goals and mission.
• Logistics includes: (1) advising the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) organizations within the MDA on matters related to developing the Total Package Approach to Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) for current and future FMS Cases. (2) Identifying the specific requirements for funding, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the FMS Program Manager's cost, schedule and performance objectives, (3) correlating objectives with Program plans to assure that the required logistics support is provided at the right time.
• Completion of logistics work requires (1) ability to coordinate and evaluate logistics support in consideration of the twelve Integrated Production Support (IPS) Elements (maintenance planning, manpower, and personnel, supply support, support equipment, technical data, training and training support, computer resources support, facilities, packaging, handling, storage and transportation and design influence/interface) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and FMS policies. (2) Manage and assign logistics duties to the FMS logistics team to support spares provisioning, contractors logistic support planning, supply support, transportation, new equipment training, material fielding and post-delivery sustainment functions executed under FMS Cases.
• Analyzes FMS partner requirements, LOAs, FMS policy, funding, system technical details, support agreements, contracts and other information to identify, develop and recommend courses of action to resolve logistical challenges associated with the execution of Total Package Approach support to FMS programs. Initiates appropriate corrective actions; assures procedures are implemented. Coordinates logistical actions with multiple USG, contractor and foreign stakeholder organizations. Evaluates and/or conducts staff studies on the assigned program areas to determine trends, problem, and corrective action.
• Coordinates with Military Departments (MILDEPs) and International Logistics Control Offices (ILCOs) to facilitate the execution of MDA FMS programs.
• Develops and conducts briefings to MDA and Leadership on FMS cases and case logistical execution.

As a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the NH-0080-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Provide expert, authoritative security and protection advice and guidance to senior agency personnel in the application of program protection, information security, classification and declassification management, industrial security, and/or operations security policies, requirements, standards and criteria, through direct interaction with system and technology planners, designers, developers, and acquisition authorities across the MDA.
• Determine and apply Information Security standards in support of programmatic research, development, production, and deployment efforts. Participates in preparation of Memorandum of Understanding/ Memorandum of Agreement (MOU/MOAs), other international agreements, and arrangements with Services and Agencies, OSD offices, and other Federal entities.
• Oversee and evaluate security projects being accomplished by contract to ensure that all actions are properly and effectively administered in compliance with applicable contracting laws and regulations, and Agency/Department policies.
• Provide management and programmatic direction of comprehensive and coherent Information Security in support of program protection policy for complex weapons systems. Apply procedural security and protection methods and processes to develop policies and procedures that provide security solutions to complex problems.
• Serve as the technical authority in managing the Information Security Program. Provides oversight and guidance for information handled at all MDA operating locations.
• Serve as the Information Security Program coordinating agent for Enabling Office support from Technical Intelligence and Security services provided by organizations outside of Program Protection (e.g., Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Emergency Management, International Security, Antiterrorism, Special Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security).
• Represent MDA Information Security interests at senior and action officer level meetings within MDA, and with OSD, the Joint Staff, the Services, and other Defense and non-Defense agencies, when required.
