Ormond Construction is seeking a Civil Engineer Technician

A Diploma and previous experience required.

The role will include :


Reading and drafting plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures
performing and directing fieldwork
interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work

Salary: $85,000-100,000

As a skilled solid plasterer / renderer to work on our construction projects you will deliver excellent plastering for our clients. In this role, you will at times consult with our clients, mix materials, applying plasters, and reporting any building issues back to the Leading Hand or Project Manager.

As a successful solid plasterer, you need to be skilled at internal and external applications, work independently, and be able to understand the client's desires.

Plasterer Responsibilities:

Examining and priming surfaces for plastering.
Selecting the appropriate plastering materials for different sites.
Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials.
Applying different plasters to exterior and interior surfaces.
Fixing and repairing previous plastering work when necessary.
Reporting any site or structural issues to the site Leading Hand.
Mixing and preparing mortar, plasters, and other finishes.
Repairs and applying different types of mouldings to facades.
Concrete Patching
Plasterer Requirements:

Able to read plans and specifications.
Able to interpret site instructions.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Trade-school qualification or in an apprentice stage of your career.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a plasterer or in a similar role.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of different plastering techniques and materials.
You must have good communication and professional skills.
The ability to work in harsh or unpleasant weather conditions.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving ability.
Experience in using several types of plastering materials.
You must have a good understanding of OH&S systems used on site.
Able to lift 20kg with very little effort.
