We have an exciting and varied opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our dynamic and supportive HR team. We are keen to employ a passionate individual who cares and strives to deliver excellence in their team at all times.
This is opportunity is initially being offered on a fixed term contract basis until end of March 2026, 37hrs a week, working in a hybrid model, following internal promotions within our HR team.
The role which will be based at one of the PSPS Ltd. Offices: Horncastle or Spalding or Boston. The office base will be the one which is most convenient for you. The role will when required by our clients business needs, require the job holder to be able to travel to other PSPS offices and client sites.

You will have proven experience of working as an ER Advisor within complex, challenging business environments. You'll be used to operating in a dynamic fast paced environment where you've become adept at juggling a busy workload whilst working closely with managers to deliver exemplary service. You will provide coaching and guidance to Managers with queries or cases being managed under our ER policies and procedures to support effective resolution. Our purpose is to provide high quality advice and to support our colleagues, our clients and the organisation by being the subject matter experts.
Experience of working in HR within Local Government is desirable but not essential.

To thrive in this role, you will need to:
Have solid understanding and knowledge of UK employment legislation
Be highly organised and able to work accurately and methodically, meeting demanding timescales and deadlines
Be able to effectively manage a ER caseload on an on-going basis of up to 35 cases, supporting our clients’ and Company managers in their decision making by giving timely and accurate technical HR advice and coaching support.
Ensure that all ER case work and associated processes, are completed in accordance with the ACAS Code of Practices, HR policies, procedures and good people management practice
Have the ability to re-prioritise promptly where necessary, to meet the needs and demands of the client’s service.
Possess very good interpersonal skills, with the courage and professionalism to challenge when necessary, whilst planning appropriate and cost effective ER interventions with senior leaders and managers within our Client Councils
Have effective written communication skills, to draft employment related letters, advice notes and HR policies
