Senior Associate, Learning & Development
Position Overview
Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences, and to contribute to the nation's development of its human resource.
We are looking for a dynamic candidate to join us as Senior Associate, Learning & Development
Essential Job Functions
He/she will be responsible for driving and operationalising training activities and developing a learning culture in Science Centre Singapore (SCS). He/She is responsible for the following:
1. Design & Development of Learning Interventions
- Develop face-to-face/online learning curriculum for staff training with the objective of achieving/maintaining selected SCS-specific skills.
- Embrace different types of training techniques, including e-learning, videos, tutorials and resource guides etc. Create training materials and ensure that quality standards are met. Create e-learning materials in a learning platform (learning management system) when needed.
- Continuously seek out and adapt latest and most appropriate instructional design and learning technology techniques, theories and methodologies to create unique and engaging content to meet the needs of our target audience.
2. Organisation Development
- Create and shape an organisation culture that values and enables our people. Familiar with various change management and transformation strategies and tools.
- Enhance employees’ engagement by organising activities, collaborate with different stakeholders to identify competencies and various learning activities for the Future of Work.
- Able to design and conduct interventions such as facilitating small group conversations, engaging senior leadership teams, and delivering large group engagement sessions
- Source and procure the services of external trainers/overseas trainers.
3. Learning & Development (General)
- Support the team in planning and organising various learning activities/events for staff (eg: talks, sharing sessions, briefings, workshops, festivals etc).
- Use of Gamification to enhance employees learning experience
- Source and procure the services of external trainers/overseas trainers.
4. Training Delivery
- Ability to conduct stand up training will be an advantage.
5. Special Projects
- Assist to implement any organisation-wide change management, culture shaping and HR Transformation.
- Drafting of Reports for application of HR-related Award for the organisation
6. Any other projects as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have passion for building capabilities in others, be innovative and open to experimentation, and have excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the area of Organisation Development and Learning & Development; including design of learning intervention and evaluation of training programmes.
· Must be familiar with digital learning tools and platforms.
· Must be prepared to be hands-on.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Those with training qualification such as ACTA, ACLP, DACE and DDDLP will be an advantage.
Those with more years of experience of experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Manager/Manager, Learning & Development.
