We are looking for a passionate and professional Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Strategy team.
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent will engage in analytics projects and identify opportunities to realise strategic vision.

What You’ll Do
- You will develop industry relevant models in partnership with IHL and other operators.
- You will convert the models to MVPs for use by the company and industry partners.
- You will develop a long range plan based on technology and business trends.
- You will engage various divisions to identify the key business requirements for which complex models need to be built.
- You will lead and guide the analytics team in problem and opportunity formulation, data wrangling, possible model approaches, modes of validation and engaging the various stakeholders.
- You will assist the strategy team in developing the various strategic plans for the company, and implement them where it makes sense.
- You will support the dissemination of analytics knowledge and sharing of experience within the team and the business users.
- You will identify, undertake and implement analytics projects, including formulation of use cases, gathering of data, development, implementation and maintenance of models.
- You will support the development of SPPL’s in house analytic capabilities through the implementation of structured methodologies and creation of infrastructural capabilities to process and analyze data.
- You will work with strategy to identify opportunities to enable the implementation and realization of the long-term strategic vision of the company.
Who You Are
- You will need at least a postgraduate degree, preferably in data science, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, machine learning or other data centric disciplines.
- You will need at least 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably more.
- You should have a proven track record of building and deploying models that solve high impact business problems.
- You should have a good understanding of our products and customer segments, preferably with experience in similar industries.
- You should have experience with statistical and analytical modeling and knowledge of analytic tools.
- You should be able to work with tools to clean, transform, manipulate, model and visualize large amounts of data.
- Minimum skillsets required:
- Strong programming experience with Python and some knowledge of JS/CSS/HTML for building web applications.
- Familiarity with Python packages commonly used in a Data Science context, e.g., pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, etc.
- Proficient in various statistical methods and machine learning techniques, e.g., hypothesis testing, data cleaning, bootstrapping, random forests, clustering, deep learning, etc.
- Strong visualization and communication skills to interpret and present technical results to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Knowledge of deploying machine learning models (and web applications at large) on-prem and on AWS or other cloud providers.
- Experience working with Docker and tools such as docker-compose, Portainer, etc.
- Ability to implement cloud-based solutions and containerization.
- Knowledge of SQL, PySpark, a deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch).
- Knowledge of a back-end Python web framework such as Django.
- Basic software engineering skills such as data structures and algorithms, version control, CI/CD pipelines, testing and API design.
- Familiarity with a front-end framework such as React would be a bonus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, etc.
