Are you a Supervisor in the Rail industry? Looking for a new challenge? We have an Engineering Depot Supervisor for one of our key rail clients based in Crewe on a permanent basis.
The successful applicant should be a safety conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team player with a willingness to work a 24/7 shift roster, on a salary of £49,885 per annum.
As an Engineering Depot Supervisor, the successful candidate will report to the Engineering Production Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the team of Mechanical & Electrical Fitters deliver the maintenance production plan safely and efficiently to meet and exceed customer requirements.
As a Engineering Depot Supervisor your role will include various tasks such as:
- Maintaining a safe environment for all to work. Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to and processes improved as we strive to be injury free.
- Provide leadership to your team to create an engaged and motivated workforce.
- Carry out IPEs and safety observations to develop team members.
- Ensure safe, quality and reliable production whilst working to achieve fleet availability and reliability targets.
- Continuously work in accordance with all G&W and Freightliner policies and procedures
Competencies Required
- Commitment to safe working practices – the ability to be a safety leader.
- Apprentice trained or time served.
- Supervisory or man-management experience and the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
- Experience of Traction and Rolling Stock
- Engineering qualification, preferably HNC standard in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Ability to seek continuous improvement.
