Who we are looking for
As Group Head of Credit & Risk, you will
- Assume overall responsibility for establishing, overseeing, and managing the core credit & operational risk responsibilities across the Group
- Develop policies and procedures necessary for operating and managing the risk management framework, and oversee their implementation
- Participate in or lead risk and other control committees established for Singapore and each of the operating markets for the Group
- Supervise the development of new processes and procedures related to risk management, serving as the primary point of contact for all risk-related matters
Responsibilities:
The position is involved with Credit, Market, Operational and Liquidity risks across the Group while the main focus shall be on Credit Risk, with the following responsibilities:
Credit Policies & Procedures
- Review and oversee the Credit Risk Management policy for each of the operating markets and review/update it from time to time while ensuring compliance with the relevant local regulations
- Set up and oversee the procedure and guidelines for the establishing of credit committee, ALCO committee etc. across each of the operating markets
- Set objectives for measuring, monitoring, evaluating and mitigating the risk exposure at each operating market and ensure that they are reported in a timely manner to regulatory entities and the Group management
- Supervising the Risk Management department in each of the operating markets
Risk Asset Review
- Review of credit risk in accordance with the established Credit Rating System and Credit quality assessment
- Ensure that risks are properly addressed in terms of compliance with existing rules and regulations established by internal, local and international regulators
- Ensure that classified loans are reported and properly administered as per the applicable Group policy
Portfolio Management
- Establish procedure and execute portfolio and product level Profitability and Risk analysis for the Group
- Develop predictive dynamic monitoring procedures/system for Risk Management departments across the Group
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry, both at an operating country as well as regional level
- Comprehensive knowledge of credit, market, operational, and regulatory risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders across all levels
- Proven track record of leadership and team management
- Strong analytical skill with primary focus in risk and control areas but possesses the ability to apply a commercial lens and pragmatic approach with respect to strategic business benefits realization.
