Our ideal candidate will be competent and able to work alongside our team, have excellent knife, pan and grill skills. You will assist the Kitchen Brigade in Menu planning, Stock control and general running of the kitchen, you will be motivated and have a get on attitude to run a smooth, busy service.
This boutique Regional Pub is seeking a real 'FOODIE', a chef member who is passionate about their craft and has a good grasp of kitchen operations.
About You
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Food preparation hot and cold
Coordinating the menu planning with the head chef
Create recipe/menu cards for the junior staff to ensure dishes standards
Monitor costs, portioning, waste minimisation and stock controlling
Calculate and order food supplies as required
Training and supervising junior staff
Perform quality check over the dishes prepared by junior staff Ensuring hygiene standards in the kitchen
Impressive communication skills and delegating
kitchen staff and venue management
A confident cooking style, emphasis on quality and presentation.
A good understanding of pub dining trends &creating flavours.
Must be hands on and also possess sharp kitchen
Administration & time management skills
We expect you to possess the following skills:
Possess a strong work ethic
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience
Highly relevant qualifications for the position
Maintain a safe, orderly and clean kitchen
Ability to excel in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
Possess effective communication skills
You would be working closely with our head chef and kitchen team to perform the following tasks.
