The information team currently support management and clinicians throughout the organisation by providing information and analysis for planning, decision making, quality assurance and improvement. We are further developing our analytical tools and capabilities to rapidly increase the utilisation of anonymised clinical data to support research and maximise the use of clinical data to increase understanding of the disease and treatment. We are looking for motivated experienced developer to join our team, to play a pivotal role supporting the Data Infrastructure Manager and Data Architect to shape, develop, and maintain the Trusts new data ecosystem.
You will be educated to degree level and have experience and expertise in developing and maintaining Microsoft based SQL data warehouses and producing technical documentation to support a wide range of users.
You must be self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff within and external to the organisation.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, have a strong attention to detail, be a creative problem solver and be able to work under pressure.

1.1 The post holder will be an integral member of the Trust’s Informatics team, working to transform Trust data into timely accurate information. The primary role is to develop and maintain the corporate data warehouse, taking data from multiple sources. This will require excellent problem-solving skills, along with technical expertise.
1.2 The postholder will, in conjunction with the Data Infrastructure Manager/Data Architect, ensure continuous access to data via the corporate data warehouse. Enabling the provision of accurate and timely data that drives several key areas including billing and income, contractual and statutory reporting and planning and analysis.
1.3 The postholder will provide expertise regarding data ingestion & integration and will ensure information is presented in a clear comprehensible manner, conforming to Trust informatics standards.

2.1 Provide specialist technical advice on data warehouse administration and implementation, across the Trust.
2.2 Support the Data Infrastructure Manager/Data Architect with the administration of the data warehouse. This includes user right management and being the point of contact for issue resolution.
2.3 In conjunction with the Data Infrastructure Manager/Data Architect enhance and extend the RM data model.
2.4 Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of data warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
2.5 Ensure data is processed in accordance with guidelines provided by the Trust’s Information Governance and cybersecurity leads.
2.6 Maintain processes, documentation, concerning the development and optimisation of complex Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) / Extract, Load & Transform (ELT) data pipelines.
2.7 Produce technical documentation to support the administration and management of the corporate data warehouse and Business Intelligence systems, including the Trust’s collaborative research environment.
2.8 Implement data warehouse changes resulting from changes and upgrades to the Trusts Digital Health Record (DHR) system. This will involve liaising with DHR configuration managers and the Digital Services integration team to ensure data synchronisation.
