Role overview
To learn the skills and trade of a bin logistics officer / recycling officer within Waste Management.
To assist in the provision of an effective and efficient service to our client groups
Key responsibilities
Under supervision, the post holder will undertake the following duties:
Operational delivery of the service (i.e. manual delivery, repair, exchange and removal of domestic and commercial waste containers)
Delivering quality customer service as part of the day-to-day operation
Updating records of activities on paper, tablet and computer systems.
Supporting bin audits which includes, inspecting contents, advising residents and dealing with confrontation from residents.
Supporting the education of recycling within the borough, through leaflets, advice and guidance.
Assist with waste collections on the Country Round
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
Experience of working in Waste Management within a Council
level 1 English and maths or take the test for level 2 before the end of the apprenticeship
Or; for those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
