We are on the lookout for a Senior Estimator to come and join the Refurbishment Team. We are looking for candidates that have experience of working within a main contractor on Social Housing refurbishment projects, partnerships and frameworks. The ideal candidate will already be managing individual tenders up to the value of £10m.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the contractors HSE&Q standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are adhered to at all times.


• Manage the coordination and preparation of tender documentation.


• Develop awareness of clients' processes and procedures for bid evaluation.


• Effectively plan tender documentation and pricing information.


• Prepare tenders from architect's drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, pre-priced schedule of rates supplied by the client.


• Understand business development and the bidding market place including competitor environment and market forces (regional variation).

You will be carrying out tasks such as being responsible for individual contractor accounts and regular reports and analysis. You will also provide commercial insight and support to ensure financial efficiency is achieved.

You will play a key role in budget management. You will be reviewing applications for payments, as well as creation of weekly and monthly reports for the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director as required.

Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity for an immediate start for a Waste and Recycling Operative for a client in Aylesford on a temporary ongoing basis which could lead permanent for the right candidate.

The role is in the waste and recycling department, you can be working inside and outside. We are looking for someone with experience with a counterbalance forklift (internal certificates accepted). Part of the role will be loading waste collections using a FLT.

You will be collecting, sorting and disposing waste and recycling and sorting into relevant areas such as cardboard, plastic, wood. You could be sorting and baling waste cardboard and plastic film along with recovery of packaging waste/recycling products returned for recycling to maximise revenue from the waste streams. You will be maintaining the general cleanliness of the site.

This role is not heavy but physically demanding and can be dirty. We are looking for someone who is self-driven.

This role is Monday to Friday 8-4 and pays £13.08ph. Half hour unpaid lunch.
