10110–40 hour - Regional Relief Trainee Pharmacy Assistant – Permanent Contract

We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Regional Relief Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work between all of our branches in region 19 which covers 11 branches in Leeds, Burley in Wharfedale, Guiseley, Menston and Otley area.

Usual working hours can range between 09:00 to 17:00, or 09:00 to 18:00.

Due to the travel nature of the role it would be ideal if you held a full driving licence complete with access to your own vehicle.

You are required to use your own vehicle for this role; therefore, if appointed your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. It is advised that you contact your insurer to obtain information regarding this prior to attending an interview. Please note that "business insurance" refers to the vehicle only, and not the contents. You will be part of an MDT consisting of occupational therapists & nurses, with medical support from Sector Consultant Psychiatrists and their colleagues. The service is commissioned to operate over 7 days, 08-20.30 hours weekdays and 10-18.00 hours weekends and bank holidays. The team manages a varied and complex shared caseload which will include completing holistic and specialised assessments and therapeutic interventions, and providing detailed risk management plans. You will liaise with colleagues and attend multidisciplinary meetings. Service User and carer involvement is at the centre of our approach, and this should be reflected in your values and practice. You will act as shift coordinator on a rostered basis, triaging referrals into the team, providing information, support and signposting as required. The right candidate will be supported into the team with an induction and then in developing and furthering their professional skills through reflection in appraisal objectives, management and clinical supervision and further training and development opportunities. A LYPFT research project (UPLIFT Asylum) has been awarded a grant to engage asylum seekers and refugees who areexperiencing perinatal mental illness, in research. We are going to do this via social media (TikTok and Instagram), a website, andwellbeing workshops. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has an interest in perinatal mental health and experiencewith social media to join the team. Working with the project team, asylum seekers and other stakeholders, they will providecomprehensive social media support through excellent and creative written, digital and face to face communication as well asassisting with organisation and running of focus groups and workshops. They will also support the Chief Investigator (CI) andmembers of the project team to successfully deliver the aims and objectives of the UPLIFT project. This is a unique project andone that will allow you to express yourself creatively in healthcare while engaging with a very vulnerable group who we hope willget great benefits from it. The successful candidate will work alongside our Trauma Informed Mental Health Pracititoner in the Rough Sleepers Mental Health Service, and its partner organisations, supporting those in the community who are rough sleeping or at most risk of rough sleeping. You will be: o Providing direct support to service users sleeping rough in the community in the form of outreach support, this means extensive travel across the post codes of Leeds to meet the needs of the service o Joining our partner service, CGL for regular outreach work travelling across the city of Leeds and its surrounding areas to meet the mental health needs of service users o Spending time at St Annes Resource Centre on York Steet, Leeds, to provide mental health support for service users and staff at the Help Hub o Attending team meetings each week with the Rough Sleepers Mental Health Team and meetings with the Street Support Teams o Demonstrating and role modelling person centred approaches to service users and staff o Contributing to the triaging, assessment, planning and evaluation of support for individuals accessing our service o Working closely with our partners across the city to work in an integrated way to provide a psychologically informed approach in the work we do o Completing case notes and documentation effectively and within a timely manner on our record keeping systems o Keeping up to date with interventions and relevant information regarding mental health in homelessness You will have: o Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills to work with both our service user group and support staff o The capacity to embrace change and be proactive o Experience of working with mental health, complex needs and vulnerabilities in a community/outreach setting providing psychosocial interventions o Experience of managing a caseload o Excellent self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst accessing appropriate support when required o Experience of inter-agency and multi-disciplinary working o Good organisational skills including time management and planning workload o Recognition and escalation of safeguarding concerns contributing to risk management o Flexibility and a responsive attitude to service need including willingness to work across city at varying times to service need. The working days are Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to meet service and service user need. However, there may be a requirement for some early morning or evening hours to meet service demands. This is a full time, permanent role.
