Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

• Assist in providing services to the WHS serviced organizations and tenants concerning fire code interpretation and enforcement; fire hazard/protection analysis; fire and life safety systems review.
• Serve as a fire protection engineer performing detailed reviews of design and shop drawings.
• Evaluate work for compliance with federal accessibility, building, and fire codes.
• Incumbent provides management of fire prevention programs.

• Supports the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps (CHC) by developing strategic initiatives, executing corresponding engagements, and implementing strategic communication plans.
• Analyzes Army religious support missions and functions to identify core capabilities to ensure initiatives are nested, based on a thorough analysis, adequately covering key areas of concern.
• Assesses OCCH’s transformation plans and activities that may have an impact on Army religious support organizations and resources.
• Reviews emerging policies from Congress, OSD, and HQDA that may impact OCCH’s technical and organizational ability to perform its mission.

Under the Pathways Internship Program, you must meet the definition of a student during the duration of your internship as follows:

An individual accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a qualifying degree or certificate from one of the following:

• Advanced degree program; OR

• This position provides on the job training for administrative and clerical duties including but not limited to financial management, budget, business administration, and project management.
• Uses computer software to assist staff in writing business procedures, designing flow charts, creating and maintaining spreadsheets or databases, designing data analysis and charts, and or creating/editing reports or briefing materials related to financial management and budget.

• You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and, revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs.

• Maintains a detailed familiarity with technological and industrial process-oriented matters of interest to the Agency, also by representing the Agency in intra-DoD and interagency discussions related to the management of technically sensitive defense article transfer issues, arising from the implementation and management of U.S. Security Assistance (SA) and arms transfer policies and programs.
• Develops, coordinates, and represents DoD policies in the area of weapon systems technology. Reviews and interprets national SC and arms transfer policy guidelines in the context of sensitivity to technology transfer concerns and overall national security policy objectives.

As a GRAPHICS AND MULTIMEDIA SPECIALIST at the GS-1001-11 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Prepares art, graphics, and creates brochures, booklets, posters, and other advertising materials using traditional design techniques and desktop publishing software.
• Executes illustrations, sketches and drawings (to include caricatures and cartooning).
• Creates abstract designs for a number of media including videos, slides, films, Internet sites, and multimedia presentations.
• Serves as principal advisor to the J5 Chief of Staff on all matters, graphic hardware and software, print advertising, art media, graphic style, technique, colors, and layout.
• Advises the J5 Chief of Staff on the best graphic and design avenues to reach target audience(s) effectively, efficiently and economically.
