POSITION SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employs safe work habits and complies with all applicable Diversey safety requirements.
- Works closely with the Quality Manager and Supervisor, Receiving Warehouse, Operations, and QA personnel at other sites
- Ability to perform a variety of physical, dimensional and functional tests to determine the compliance of incoming materials with specification and standards. Maintain appropriate documentation and assure accurate communication of results.
- Using Aseptic techniques, safely samples incoming raw materials for testing.
- Investigate non-conforming raw materials and initiate and/or complete the report for the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Participate and assist in training; maintain safe and organized laboratory and work area.
- Provides support to the plant with regard to waste minimization, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, timely disposition of returns , discrepant product and materials
- Ensures all required incoming component documentation accompanies each shipment.
- Trains personnel as needed, ability to conduct meetings.
- Supports the compliance and maintenance of GMP and ISO 9001 documentation
- Participates in continuous improvement activities such as 5 Why Investigations, Kaizen, TPM, etc.
- Ability to change shifts to cover vacation and needs of the business
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education Required: High school Diploma
- Minimum Experience required:
- At least 1 year of experience in a Quality Control environment within a GMP regulated facility
- Experience with sampling, testing, and approving components.
- Basic Computer skills
- SAP knowledge
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis
- Employee must use and maintain their PPE, and follow Area specific PPE policies and rules
