A manufacturing company in Thame are looking for an Export Administrator to supervise all deliveries and export activity within the Customer Services department ensuring orders are fulfilled on time.
Ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained and focus upon logistical compliance, rationalise and reduce carbon emissions and current expenditure so you must have good customer service and administration skills.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with the customer services manager to ensure that all export customer orders are delivered on time, in full and in compliance with contract terms and conditions.

• Act as the first point of contact for all issues during delivery, resolving any shipping issues raised

• Coordinate the movement of goods by road, air or sea for both import and export. Produce all export paperwork including arranging for legalisation of documents with the Chamber of Commerce if required.

• Review and keep up to date with changes to import and export procedures and continue to be aware of all legal requirements, including monitoring tariff codes used to ensure continued compliance.
• Provide support on shipping and export requirements, including Letters of Credit, for other departments and regional offices.
• Identify and communicate any country specific requirements as and when changes occur.
• Be the first point of contact for all customs issues raised by HMRC and resolve accordingly.
• Log, track and keep files up to date for all shipments handling customs audits as and when necessary with support from the customer services manager
• Review, circulate and advise on Letter of Credit and export payment issues within the company and liaise directly with the customer over any amendments required. Ensure that all terms can be complied with for both speed and security of payment. Present documentation at the time of shipment and monitor until payment is received in full.
• Oversee the coordination of all Import and Export shipments from the UK, arranging pre-shipment inspections and any other export requirements as and when necessary.
• Review and approve all Cross Trade shipments from various factories or suppliers globally, to customers

• Continual improvement of processes and ongoing training of colleagues on shipping procedures, ensuring adequate cover is in place to cover imports and exports during absences.

At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Tanker Team at Brize Norton as a Aircraft Refuelling Fuel Tanker Maintenance Technician.

Please see the shift pattern as follows:

Mon-Fri 40 Hour week07:00 hrs -16:00 Mon -Thu07:00 hrs
- 13:00 FriStandby out of hours commitment –standby duty is from home Mon-Fri. This standby week includes a weekend commitment to complete Runway Arrestor Gear Daily Checks. 07:30 -08:30 Sat and Sun. Standby weeks (including Sat & Sun Runway Arrestor Gear Daily Checks) are typically required every 6 weeks.This commitment attracts additional pay.

Main accountabilities:

Ensure compliance with relevant Quality Systems.

Ensure appropriate cooperation and support to internal, external and independent audit activities.

Follow the Serco “Zero Harm” Open Reporting Safety Culture where all individuals are willing and able to report any issue or event which they believe has or could potentially lead to a Safety risk.

Support Continuous Improvement to ensure that our teams drive for effectiveness, efficiency and improvements in the output and working environment

Maintenance and rectification of the RAF Brize Norton aircraft refuelling vehicles, fuel transfer vehicles, TREPEL Cargo Lifters and associated equipment.

Runway Arrestor Gear Daily Checks and Maintenance (Training will be provided)


What you'll need to do the role:

-
Three years of experience in the Vehicle Maintenance or Mechanical Equipment Arena or equivalent. (Transferable skills from HGV, Vehicle, Plant Fitter, Aviation maintenance arena are all appropriate).

-
Ability to effectively and safely complete maintenance and rectification tasks.

-
Functional IT skills to use Electronic Technical Manuals and to update Maintenance Recording systems.

-
Be an excellent team player with a “can-do safely” approach to work.

-
Overtime as required.

-
On the Job Training will be provided.

-
Must have high standards of oral and written communication skills.

-
Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to achieve MoD Security Clearance.

You will play a vital role in the Logistical support of the Royal Air Force, helping to fulfil its operational and peacetime obligations. You will be responsible for the distribution, handling, and stock control of clothing and materials, helping to sustain a modern Whole Force team. You will work alongside Serco and RAF colleagues to achieve the daily operational output within the storage and warehouse areas as well as within an office environment.
Main accountabilities:

- Delivery of excellent customer service
- Frequent use of IT systems to manage emails and stock control
- Storekeeping and day to day management of stock
- Issuing & receipt of goods
- Ensure the section is correctly resourced, this includes managing holiday requests.
- First line management responsibility of Clothing Stores personnel in line with the Serco values and behaviours.
- Act as the immediate escalation focal point for any customer or team concerns, dealing with these concerns in a swift and professional manner, engaging with the Logistics & Supply Manager as appropriate.

What you'll need to do the role:

- Full UK driving licence
- Must be able to achieve SC Vetting status
- Experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment would be an advantage however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Must be a team player with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Be computer proficient and able to use the inhouse IT systems.
