**Position is hybrid in either Ogden, UT. or Knoxville, TN.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Prepares cost accounting information, and related analysis reporting. Ensures various account reconciliations and analysis are completed accurately and timely. Researches and resolves business unit issues and inquiries.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and analyzes monthly/quarterly/year-end cost accounting closing, and financial reporting information
- Responsible for accurate product costing and standard cost reporting.
- Assists in the preparation of annual budget, and subsequent forecasting cycles.
- Works with various departments to maintain, analyze, and optimize all PPV data.
- Maintains detailed records of all plant related inventories.
- Reconciliation of raw material, work in process and finished goods accounts.
- Works with production and purchasing to develop and setup annual standard costs and labor and over rates for products.
- Coordinates on cost metrics with plant management to drive cost improvements.
- May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.
- May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
- Mentor other staff as applicable.
- Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5 – 8 years’ related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial reporting systems.
- Proven track history of being a sole contributor, working with little or no supervision.
- Above average PowerPoint presentation skills desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple activities at same time
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
