It is essential that you have a relevant appropriate qualification or evidence of professional competence and skill, experience in Highway Maintenance, certified relevant machinery and plant use qualifications and hold a CSCS Card.

You must have experience working within the operations service area, hold a Driving License Category C (LGV/HGV) and drivers CPC.

You must have effective communication, time management and interpersonal skills, be flexible in your approach to work, have knowledge of the operation of specialist plant/machinery used within roads maintenance and knowledge of the materials used within roads maintenance.

You will be required to participate in the Services Winter Maintenance and Summer standby service to ensure the Council has an effective response to weather conditions which will require you work throughout Renfrewshire, and you must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

You will provide a development and training service to professional social work staff primarily focusing on adult protection and outcomes based social work.

The main duties of the post include leading the development and implementation of staff education and training approaches around protection practice issues, service development and legislation.

It is essential that you have a professional social work qualification at Degree level or above, ideally a Degree in Social Work or a related discipline with a range of professional social work experience to draw on and have been involved in the creation and implementation of staff learning programmes. The key function of the post includes supporting curriculum development and learning and teaching approaches within the establishment. This will include supporting early years staff in their understanding of effective pedagogy. Keeping up to date with early years initiatives and developments and guiding staff in relation to the provision of a quality curriculum is required.

LGV license or equivalent CPC Card up to 7.5t is desirable however current full driving licence is essential.
