Skills for Care has exciting opportunities for a National Professional Lead to join our Workforce Delivery Team.
We are looking for a National Professional Lead who is a registered social worker or holds a social work qualification, and has significant experience of pre and post registration learning and development programmes and in particular the ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) programme for social work. Ideally you will have experience of supporting students, apprentices or newly qualified staff, and/or delivering or commissioning training and professional development programmes. We are happy to consider part-time and flexible approaches to work in order to maximise the balance of skills and knowledge within the team.
You will be involved in managing a number of national programmes of work which directly enable workforce policy to be implemented, building capacity and capability with employers and their regulated workforce. Examples of current and recent work undertaken by the team include developing and refreshing resources and guidance (inc. making the most of student nursing and occupational therapy placements, Nursing Associate Deployment Guidance, ASYE refresh), Management and quality assurance of the ASYE programme, Promoting the sector as a career destination of choice, Professional Leadership programmes for nurses, social workers and occupational therapists.
There is a strong focus on quality assurance, consistency, and equity of opportunity in all our project work. The team regularly engages with national stakeholder organisations and also with employers and regulated professionals nationally and locally and in both large and small groups. You will therefore be required to use your excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
