We’re looking for an aspiring Chef Apprentice to join our team at the Shipwrights, Padstow - one of the amazing venues that makes up St Austell's managed pub estate.

What does the Chef Apprentice role look like?
Throughout this apprenticeship, you will work with experienced chefs in a fast-paced and fun environment, as part of the Shipwrights' high-energy team. As the course progresses, you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviour - learning the fundamental principles that are key to building a successful career as a professional chef.
You’ll practice your new skills while at work, with the full support of the team around you. As you develop, you'll become proficient at working with top quality fresh local produce, play a hands-on role in prepping and cooking our dishes to the required specification, while dealing with high volumes and maintaining consistency. You will learn how to adapt your approach and work flexibly while under pressure.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be led by some of the best in our business, gaining first hand experience of the working practices of an efficient kitchen. Your practical lessons, along with the experience you will gain as part of a busy commercial kitchen team, will enable you to gain a nationally recognised qualification, progress and move on to become an integral member of our extended operations.
