Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city, which means that local authority continuous service terms and conditions apply. We are looking to appoint a motivated Social Worker within our Kinship Team (previously called Connected Carers Team) which operates within the Fostering Service, which was rated as ‘good’ in a judgement by Ofsted in 2022.

We currently have a permanent full time vacancy (37 hours per week) and a part time vacancy number (25.5 hours per week), within our Kinship Team. The team is responsible for undertaking viability assessments, kinship carer assessments, supporting kinship carers and completing SGO assessments and SGO post Order support assessments.
