Plans, directs and conducts investigations and analyzes of mishaps and hazardous conditions to determine origin, causes, and contributing elements and prepares written evaluation reports concerning findings and proposed recommendations. Work operations and environmental conditions involve a substantial number and diversity of hazards that include those with potential for significant severity and loss. Uses the current Air Force Automated Safety (AFSAS) reporting system. Compiles and analyzes mishap data, identifies trends, and develops comprehensive recommendations to reduce or eliminate mishaps. Reports typically contain graphs, charts, and recommendations for changes in operating procedures, regulations, and use of protective devices that affect agency activities. (25%)
3. Prepares supplements to instructions and manuals and develops specialized local instructions defining mishap prevention programs and procedures based on interpretation and/or adaptation of higher command instructions and policies formulated by other federal government agencies. Evaluates new trends for policy development or for further inquiry and study leading to new methods for eliminating or controlling minor through extremely serious hazards to life and property. Coordinates with other installation offices regarding comprehensive occupational health matters affecting installation personnel and devises specialized operating practices involving diverse but recognized hazards. Prepares and revises local written procedures or abatement actions for conditions not directly addressed by existing standards or guidelines and evaluates agency-wide effect. Evaluates safety standards adopted by national safety associations, societies, or institutes; publications on work processes; and current industrial problems and modifies/adapts for local application. Makes recommendations and decisions on complex policy issues that frequently become official policy and may impact a wide range of agency safety activities. (15%)
4. Reviews plans and specifications for new construction, major building alterations, and/or changes in equipment and monitors project through completion to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards. Recommends design changes not included in the original plan and provides technical recommendations to eliminate or control safety hazards in the construction, repair and maintenance of installation facilities and equipment. When need arises, stops any operation that is of imminent danger to personnel or property. Develops specialized operating practices affecting construction matters associated with diverse but recognized hazards and attends pre-construction conferences to brief contractors on safety requirements. Identifies potential safety hazards to assure adequate fire exits, stairways, aisle space, means of egress, etc. Randomly spot checks construction sites and notifies contracting officer when safety violations or practices are observed (e.g., improper scaffolding, construction pits not safeguarded, improper use of ladders). 1) Leader Duties:

a. Assigns work orders to specific crewmembers and selects workers for various jobs on the basis of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Passes on to workers instructions received from the supervisor, demonstrates proper work methods, and starts work. Insures that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Works along with other workers and sets pace performing non-supervisory repair work of the same kind and level as that done by the group led. Work performed by the incumbent involves troubleshooting, maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles.

b. Assures that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions, work orders, and established shop procedures on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines; and directs or advises other workers to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines. Answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Interprets work instructions and assists lower graded repairers or trainees in the more difficult and complex tasks. Provides information to the supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems. Assures that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.

(2) Non-Supervisory Duties:

a. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, bulldozers, power shovels, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, all terrain vehicles, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems. Makes repairs and modifications to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc., for use or placement in systems for which they were not specifically designed. Improvises work when standard procedures do not apply.

b. Troubleshoots equipment with a variety of the mechanically complex major systems and diagnoses difficult performance problems and the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks, uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges and computer diagnostic tools. Utilizes embedded diagnostics in equipment and a wide variety of specialized original equipment manufacturer system analyzers in order to determine the exact nature or extent of repair. Determines what adjustments may be necessary to complete work orders, and whether any additional repairs other than those specified or indicated on the work order are necessary.

c. Removes and disassembles engines and complex major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems. Makes the appropriate repairs, overhaul, or modifications in accordance with the proper repair specifications and procedures, and improvises repair techniques when standard procedures are not available. Reassembles engines and other systems, and adjusts, tests, and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment as necessary. Makes adjustments and repairs to electrical and suspension systems. Repairs equipment with a variety of interconnected systems to include state of the art electrical and electronic, fuel injection, interconnected gear reduction, multiple engines, and similarly complex systems. Improvises, substitutes, or alters components or parts to fit into systems for which the items were not specially designed or finds other ways to correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give desired results.

d. Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions with little or no supervision in remote locations. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assists lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work on interconnected complex systems such as electrical, air and hydraulic systems, complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems that use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems, complex fuel injection systems and other similar complex systems.

• You will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal XD/Strategy teams to understand pain points and requirements. Translate these insights into target use cases and workflows that address customer needs, prioritize the team's work, and inspire creativity

• Effectively communicate system updates and roadmaps to team members, including executives and other company leaders

• You will work directly with Autodesk product teams to define development of new methodologies and tools

• Promote the benefits of Computational and Generative Design via customer interaction, social media, and industry conferences

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in architecture or related fields, with a strong understanding of the AEC industry workflows and customer problems

• Strong communication and presentation skills to clarify and summarize complex issues for executives, business development leaders, and development teams

• Experience and comfort managing partners, risk, and uncertainty

• Manage teams with a collaborative and empowering approach

• Some travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Pragmatic, SVPG, or other high-quality product management training programs

• Experience working with Dynamo, across both Computational Design and Automation approaches
