About the role
SIGN-ON BONUS - $2,000 (1/3 after 1 month, 1/3 after 6 months, 1/3 after 1 year)
The Field Service Technician II is responsible for performing various tasks, including but not limited to confined space entries, general site labor, tank, and industrial cleanings, working around heavy equipment, and Vacuum trucks. Additionally, the Field Technician II will operate various equipment, including but not limited to pressure washers, generators, pumps, power tools, hand trucks, and other powered tools, following company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements and all local, state and federal laws.
MORE SPECIFICALLY: This position works under the direction of a Site supervisor and/or a Foreman. The Field Service Technician II will be responsible for taking appropriate action on his initiative to prevent personnel injury, equipment damage, or property damage.
The applicant must recognize that this position will regularly require overtime work and active participation in a rotating Emergency Response team (occasional emergency work after regular work hours, prolonged work days, nights, and weekends).
Responsibilities:
- Working around Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials.
- Use of pressure washing equipment, generators, liquid pumps, and working around specialty vacuum trucks/equipment and/or other equipment as needed Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
- Daily work in confined space entry, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, hand tools and/or other tools as needed
- Work in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.
- Communicate with the on-site Forman and/or Supervisor
Requirements:
- All employees must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check as well as a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Report.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience
- Experience in construction, environmental, or industrial preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, on a routine basis.
- Ability to regularly climb ladders, stand/walk/sit/kneel/crouch, and balance.
- Ability to enter confined spaces and work at heights while wearing harness and other applicable safety equipment.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator if environmental conditions require.
- Ability to travel up to two weeks a year, including overnight travel.
- Ability to use and move handheld equipment (ladders, pressure washers, generators, hoses, etc.).
- Work environment - outside weather conditions, exposure to the noise level.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications (not required):
- 40-hrHAZWOPER Training Certificate I
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Certificate
- Confined Space Entry Training
- Fall Protection Training
- Lock-Out Tag-Out Training
