The post holder will to assist in the provision of a high quality, patient centred service by communicating and working effectively with all colleagues within the Bowel Cancer Screening service, as well as other departments and external service users, e.g. liaising with the regional hub, screening participants, GPs and hospitals, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Develop and maintain effective channels of communication within the administrative and wider screening team, engaging staff at all levels of the organisation in participant care. Actively manage barriers to communication across levels of responsibility to contribute towards a positive outcome for screening participants. Produce accurate and complete records of communication consistent with internal policies and National programme guidance. Post holder must demonstrate the English language proficiency. Arrange colonscopy appointments, escalating any capacity issues and inputting patient and procedure details onto Trakcare and Medilogik systems. Assist in the organisation of the referral of patients to other departments/hospitals for investigations or further treatment were appropriate. Ensure systems and processes are in place to enable national targets to be met as part of the national BCSP standards, following local and national guidelines. Conduct potentially sensitive telephone calls to patients in order to arrange Post Investigative Appointments (PIA), as requested by the Specialist Screening Practitioner team (SSP). Ensure accurate data collection, collation and in-putting, and preparation of basic data reports. Responsible for delivery and collection of prescriptions from Pharmacy. Process confidential or sensitive patient documentation, responding to requests to compose, type and print correspondence as necessary. Collate and input patient information onto the Open Exeter system (BCSS). Assist in monitoring Capacity and Demand within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, highlighting shortages where appropriate and arrange for rooms/lists to be handed back to the symptomatic service when required. Be responsible for the preparation of case notes and assessment packs for clinic sessions, using all appropriate technologies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring an accurate, timely and high quality service to all users. Responsible for the locating, tracking, collecting and returning of case notes, using appropriate technologies and procedures and guidelines. Assist in carrying out a monthly case note audit. Act as the first point of contact for the Programme hub, patients and the team members, using initiative to resolve queries in a professional manner. Ensure all incoming calls are redirected appropriately and are responded to in timely manner. Monitor and prepare data sets for positive assessment appointments. Arrange interpreters as required and ensuring screening staff receive up to date clinic lists. Maintain BCSP surveillance waiting lists, ensuring referral pathways are adhered to. Action surveillance alerts on BCSS system, generating health check forms. Escalate Trakcare alerts to the screening team Participate in the reviewing and updating of departmental work instructions, as required by BCSP Management. Assist the BCSP Lead Administrator and Programme Manager in the training of new staff members. Work independently and flexibly to ensure that all work tasks are carried out to a high standard of quality that meets all departmental and organisational requirements for information governance, data protection and ensure compliance with processes to facilitate achievement of QA Standards.

Support the development and production of performance reports for use by Directors, Managers and the Board. Responsible for ensuring that data quality checks and procedures are embedded and followed. Ability to manipulate data and provide appropriate reporting information to enable robust decision making and planning projects. Provide effective support to the performance management agenda and activities, assisting in the development of systems and processes within the Business Intelligence (BI) team, Care Groups and corporate teams. To work corporately as part of the Trusts BI function. To ensure compliance with Information Governance Standards particularly in relation to relevant data protection legislation. Assist the lead analyst to determine baselines for performance standards and identify trends in activity to help service managers influence decision making. Assist in address key requirements to ensure effective reporting, creating templates, developing operational reports, and ensuring that the system is embedded in every day operations. Ensure information/ performance is delivered in a timely manner, facilitating both internal and external reporting requirements. To work with and support the development of new data sources, performance systems and other reporting processes, working in conjunction with other members of the organisation (supporting business intelligence) providing training and cross cover as necessary to share knowledge and skills. To implement methodology in conjunction with the management team to improve efficiency and effectiveness of relevant systems and processes including standard operating procedures. Be responsible for ensuring these procedures are implemented and compliance is maintained along with ensuring any policy change is updated in a timely manner. In conjunction with the management team for care groups work to develop and implement new and innovative efficiency and productivity strategies to maximise the perioperative pathway and support operating theatre efficiency and productivity (service line management) based on a range of options supported by credible information and data. Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff. Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff Take responsibility for personal development and education. Provide professional leadership advice and support within responsibility of role and junior members of staff. Job Summary

• Supporting the Senior Management Team in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the hospital estate, establishing efficient and effective compliance review procedures
• Primarily responsible for the electrical services operational equipment, decontamination, mechanical and building infrastructure. Control of contractors including permits to work on specialist and critical systems within the PFI hospitals as defined but not limited to those set out in HTM00 to HTM08 and any associated statutory and mandatory legislation

What you’ll do

• Fully competent (AP/CP Appointed) in the fault diagnosis, maintenance, repair assets to include but not limited to Mechanical systems such as LTHW Heating Systems, CHW Systems, Steam distribution systems, Hot Water Calorifiers, Refrigeration, Air Handling Units / Ventilation Systems, Compressed air and Medical Gas Systems
• Carry out Planned Maintenance of Mechanical Devices in line with current regulations and manufacturers recommendations
• Comparison and utilisation of technical documents as issued by the Department of Health
• Interpretation of technical terminology used in the Mechanical infrastructure
• The safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within PFI Hospital site. Carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard. Working on own initiative when applicable or as part of a team
• Supporting the Engineering Management team to ensure contractual response and rectification times are met. Producing required support documentation reports to meet contractual requirements.
• Undertaking Authorised Person and/or Competent Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems
• Ensuring services comply in accordance with the Project Agreement, legislative, statutory and HTM requirements
• Contributing to the commercial management of the operational element of the contract, including management of the Performing Monitoring systems and to ensure Contract and Commercial Compliance. Monitoring contractual response and rectification times to ensure compliance and avoidance of service failure and penalties
• Act when there are failures in compliance or initiatives and investigate the reasons behind these and address to build and develop performance
• The cost effective delivery of a Planned Preventative Maintenance Service
• The management of a reactive maintenance service during both normal operating hours and outside operating hours of the hospital. The working requirements will involve the need to take part in a roster out of hours call out system
• Provide technical and professional support to all staff, colleagues, engineering supervisors and to Trust officers in order to develop a team approach
• To represent Hard FM in applicable working groups for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and site specific Health, Safety and Welfare policies
• Maintain formal and informal communication with Trust managers related to services activities / working group. Develop good working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels
• Use of IT systems to include the CAFM and BMS systems to provide, monitor and report data within the Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems
• Delivery of service specific on the job training for employees within the Hard FM function
• Provide technical engineering advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, fabric and utility services for the PFI estate
• Ability to effect fault diagnosis on plant and equipment of a more complex nature
• Additional to the role summary the post will provide cover to other direct Labour force for Holidays and unplanned absence events. During these periods additional responsibilities are below
• The day to day commercial management of the estate maintenance and operation. Management and operation of the Permit to Work system and Safe Systems at work
• The management of a team who will ensure the safe operation of all plant and equipment on the hospital site in line with the Project Agreement
• Provision of advice to the engineering manager for engineering materials procurement
• Management of a Workshop operation and activities for M&E craftsmen
• Provision of guidance and advice to craftsmen in order to develop skills and improve effectiveness
• Ability to affect a hands-on approach when required
• Co-operating with the helpdesk team and ensure the return of completed worksheets in a timely fashion
• Ensuring a safe working environment and safe systems of work are followed

What you’ll bring

Essential

• Completion of C+G/Btec or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, recognised Mechanical apprenticeship, time served
• Proven substantial experience within mechanical trade
• Confident capable engineer able to assess situations
• Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Skilled in the hands on repair of all plant and equipment, having the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose and repair using their technical knowledge on equipment

Earn up to an Additional - £ 1,958.95* - £ 2,195.20* on the lead up to Christmas 2024 (Based on 9 Week Period from 01/11/2024)


This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group as we are seeking to appoint Warehouse Operatives to collaborate with our Client Pets at Home based in Stafford, ST18.

You will start with Pets at Home's comprehensive, 12-week training programme to get you settled in, confident and ready for every new opportunity.


Warehouse Operative responsibilities:

* Working in the distribution department
* Picking, packing, preparing, and wrapping items ready for dispatch
* Inspecting & quality control of items
* Accurate completion of paperwork
* Pay good diligence
* Working at high speeds and meeting company targets (KPI's)
* Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and always complies with company and legislative standards



Warehouse Operative required skills:

* Driven and motivated to achieve targets set
* Punctual and excellent attendance records
* Good attitude to work and learn new skills
* Motivated and look for long term work (as our client is looking to keep staff who he can train for long term work)


Warehouse Operative Pay:

* Step 1 - £ 11.44 per hour (Non-Core Work Areas)
* Step 2 - £ 11.69 per hour (Trained in 2 x Core Work Areas including LLOP)
* Night Shift Premium - Basic + 20%
* Overtime (after 37.5 Hours) - Time + ½

*Additional Shift Bonus for Christmas Shifts (9 Week Period from 1st November 2024)

*Christmas Earning Potential Calculated based on Colleague working additional Shift for 9 Week Period from 01/11/2024 to 02/01/2024 - Calculation - Full Basic Week (Step 2 including LLOP) + Additional Overtime Shift with Highest Possible Xmas Shift Bonus


Warehouse Operative Shift:

* *Rotational Shifts (06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 - Weekly Rotation)
Sunday to Thursday, Tuesday to Saturday or Friday to Monday (Work 4 Shifts Paid for 5 Shifts)

* Fixed Night Shifts (22:00 - 06:00)
Sunday to Thursday, Tuesday to Saturday or Friday to Monday (Work 4 Shifts Paid for 5 Shifts)

*You must be able to follow the weekly rotation shift pattern, we are not currently recruiting for part time roles*
