Job Summary

The post holder will work as part of the Residential team at Ferndale Children’s Services delivering high quality residential care to children and young people who require to be looked after away from home on a full time 35 hour per week contract.

The post holder will also be required to undertake Outreach work in the community, this will involve supporting young people and their families while they remain at home.

The post holder will work in partnership with families, social workers, education and health to support children and young people to promote welfare and development and achieve best outcomes in line with ‘Getting It Right For Every Child’ and the SHANARRI principles.

Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work within our Outreach Service providing mainly evening support for people with learning disabilities or autism. Sessional workers will facilitate social groups and activities such a Bowling group, Women’s group, Men’s group, Spectrum Film Club, MAGSS (Gaming) group, Social Club, Quiz and Bingo night and a Breakfast Club.

Sessional workers will work within Adult Day Services, alongside our large established team of workers who are based at the Allander Resource Centre, the Outlook Community Based team and the Local Area Coordinators. They will support the improvement and provision of opportunities and outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities or autism.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an Unpaid Work Co-ordinator to join the Justice Unpaid Work Team within East Dunbartonshire Council. The post-holder will coordinate and oversee our team of Unpaid Work Supervisors ensuring a comprehensive quality unpaid work service to the community within East Dunbartonshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Justice team based at Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch as Senior Practitioner with Treatment Manager responsibilities. This post is being recruited to cover a period of maternity leave. The post holder will support and assist the Team Manager with the day-to-day operation and management of the team to ensure the effective and safe provision of a range of social work services to customers which will maximise individual and community safety and promote individual responsibility, capacity and potential. You will understand the importance of relational practice have personal qualities, professional skills and knowledge which will be applied and tested in all aspects of service delivery within a busy justice team.

A key function is to undertake a Treatment Management role with regards to accredited programme interventions for individuals convicted of sexual offences. Experience and training with regards to accredited interventions is therefore essential. As the experience of managing complex cases.

The post holder will additionally manage Justice Throughcare Licences and Community Payback Orders, which will adopt a relational approach while undertaking appropriate assessments, case management, recording and monitoring work using electronic case recording systems such as ViSOR and Carefirst. The service has a critical role in public protection and work will include managing those presenting a risk of serious harm. On occasion you therefore maybe required to assist prison based social work to this end.

It is essential that you are ground in a rights based approach and committed to social work values and have effective interpersonal, communication, assessment and writing skills; be able to work as part of a team and on a multi-agency basis. Experience of managing cases with a range of complex issues is essential. As is experience of writing reports for the Courts and the Parole Board. Trained in risk assessment tools such as LSCMI (including ROSH), SA07, SARA and RM2000 is central to this role. .

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre, including the kitchen at all times.
• Liaise with management and staff in relation to daily chores requiring completion
• Ensure any hazardous material is locked away when not in use
• Ensure all toilet facilities are cleaned to a high standard as well as ensuring there is enough soap, toilet rolls and hand towels
• Ensure any maintenance issues are reported to your line manager in a timely manner
• To carryout deep cleans in the building as required or requested by your line manager

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Justice team based at Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch The post holder will undertake all aspects of the Justice Social Worker’s role. You will understand the importance of relational practice have personal qualities, professional skills and knowledge which will be applied and tested in all aspects of service delivery within a busy justice team.

The post holder will manage Justice Throughcare Licences and Community Payback Orders, which will adopt a relational approach while undertaking appropriate assessments, case management, recording and monitoring work using electronic case recording systems such as ViSOR and Carefirst. The service has a critical role in public protection and work will include managing those presenting a risk of serious harm. On occasion you therefore maybe required to assist prison based social work to this end.

It is essential that you are ground in a rights based approach and committed to social work values and have effective interpersonal, communication, assessment and writing skills; be able to work as part of a team and on a multi-agency basis. Experience of delivering interventions on an individual and groupwork basis for those with a range of complex issues is desirableas is experience of writing reports for the courts and the Parole Board. Trained in risk assessment tools such as LSCMI (including ROSH), SA07, SARA and RM2000 are also desirable.
