We're looking for estate planning solicitors to join our technical Estate Planning team within Co-op Legal Services.

In this role you'll manage estate planning cases end to end with a client-focussed approach to targets. You won't need to bring a following of clients with you as we will source new work for you. What you'll do

* own caseload of complex Estate Planning cases to include Wills, Trusts and LPAs
* use our case management system to make sure information is recorded accurately
* engage with clients mainly by telephone and email
* work collaboratively with expert support from the team to continually develop your legal skills, administrative support will also be provided at certain case levels
* use your legal knowledge to mentor more junior members of the team

This role would suit people who have

* qualified as a solicitor or chartered legal executive or TEP qualification, with a background in estate planning
* knowledge of tax systems within England & Wales;
* strong attention to detail and the ability to draft documents
* the ability to use your initiative and effectively prioritise your work

You'll be a great communicator, being able to provide consultation to colleagues and line managers, whilst setting suggested direction and delivery options to senior leadership, with the ability to work across the suite of Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint and Power Platform.

Supporting Projects

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable leading, and working in project groups - making sense of complex, technical information from our suppliers, and converting it to a language our leadership understand. They should feel confident taking options and recommendations to senior forums for approval at pace, and seeing them through to implementation.

Education & Experience

Educated to Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant Health and Safety topic, with additional experience in the management of fire, property and construction safety.

Member of a recognised health and safety professional body (IOSH, IIRSM or equivalent in fire)

We would like you to be comfortable interpreting data and making data led decisions.

Willing to upskill as required to meet Lloyds Banking Groups duties, and support the business in delivering competent health and safety advice

The role
As a Strategic Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Looking at the whole enterprise of data that supports the big strategic decision making, on multimillion billion pound decision making, in terms of infrastructure and fleet operations.

Day-to-day, you'll carry out analysis, programme modelling outputs and scenarios, assess risks and decisions required whilst presenting them in a manageable format. You'll also provide senior stakeholders sound data to ensure they make the correct decision. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing an appropriately comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the submarine enterprise, Babcock business operation and the data analytics finding from the Strategic Long-Term Planning (SLTP) data analytics team
• Analysing SLTP data analytics outputs, feasibility studies, business cases, and resource forecasts to present executive visuals and associated strategic conclusion and recommendations
• Establishing information needs for analysis and proactively engage stakeholders to ensure it is secured
• Presenting and explaining information outputs to various levels and functions within the organisation

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days in the office/onsite and 1 day working from home.

Essential experience of the Strategic Planning Engineer:

• UK in-service submarine engineering or wider submarine enterprise engineering experience
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the timeliness, quality, and validity of outputs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong experience handling data and numbers, and conducting analysis and interpretation
• Excellent professionalism, team working and willing to proactively engage the wider business to support outputs.
• Strong IT skills

Qualifications for the Strategic Planning Engineer:

• Relevant engineering degree or strong relevant academic or vocational background

At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Maintenance Planning Engineer at our Babcock Technology Centre site.

The role
As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll maintain the security of the United Kingdom by ensuring the submarine service is available at all times.

Day-to-day, you'll work within the high tempo and technically challenging environment of nuclear submarine maintenance planning. You will support the Submarine Lead in generating and maintaining through life maintenance plans, which optimise work package efficiency and submarine availability.

• Provide support to submarine programme changes and what-if scenarios. Balancing maintenance against an ever-challenging programme is key to ensuring safe, capable and available submarines
• Use the new asset management tool, developed specifically for submarines, to provide a holistic view and approach to managing maintenance requirements through life
• Work closely with relevant Subject Matter Experts across Babcock, the Royal Navy, MoD and Industry Partners
• Involvement in the development of the new through life boat plan application with the rest of the team

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

• Demonstrable experience or understanding of maintenance requirements and planning

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering based discipline or HNC/HND or demonstrable relevant experience.
