Key purpose of the role is to ensure that the health, public safety, welfare and convenience of persons in or around buildings and structures which are subject to Building Control procedures is protected.

The Candidate

• experience of protection of health and safety by the assessment of building work and the requirement of any necessary changes to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
• experience of provision of adequate fire safety and means of escape in case of fire in buildings and sports grounds.
• Experience of protection of the public in relation to dangerous structures, demolitions and attendance at sports grounds.
• require provision to be made in building work to ensure adequate conservation of fuel and power.
• enforce the relevant requirements of the Building Regulations which make provision of access to and facilities in buildings for disabled persons

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide support for all aspects of the Exchequer Section's duties including Income Collection, Payment of Suppliers, Salaries, and all Reconciliation Services.

JOB ACTIVITIES

• Ensure that all income received by the Council is correctly allocated and reconciled.
• Assist with the Monthly Reconciliation of the Main Bank Accounts, Payroll, Creditors, Miscellaneous Income, Sundry Debtors and Subcontractors Tax Control Accounts together with the Staff Car Loan and Leasing Schemes.
• To provide support in answering all types of queries made to the section.
• To provide support in the processing and administration of Sundry Debtors.
• To provide support in the processing and administration of the E-Purchasing System.
• Assist with preparation and input of monthly payroll data.
• Carry out any other duties, as required, within the Exchequer Services Section during absence or busy periods.
• To participate in the Council's Performance Appraisal and Development Scheme.
• To support the corporate work of the Council by undertaking work within other Teams/Services at the discretion of the Head of Service/Team Manager.

HMP Fosse Way houses 1,715 prisoners and focus on the rehabilitation of offenders and their reintegration back into society. It consists of 7 House blocks across 4 floors. There is a dedicated healthcare suite located in the main building with also additional multi use rooms across the establishment including rooms for groups or 1-2-1’s.

To be responsible for the service delivery and leadership of the Substance Misuse Team within the Prison.

To be responsible for the day to day organisation and smooth running of the multi-disciplinary team providing a service to a diverse caseload of patients who are presenting with substance misuse problems, detoxification requirements, including the administration of medicines

To lead and coordinate a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of effective clinical and psycho-social management of patients who have a wide range of health issues.

The team comprises of mental health nurses, NMP, GP, Psychosocial Practitioners, Psychologists and Pharmacy technicians who together provide assessments, diagnosis , support, harm minimisation and care of patients with ongoing, acute/chronic health and substance misuse conditions. The team provides medication administration , 1:1 care , case management and group work .

The Substance Misuse service covers the prison 7 days a week. The Healthcare team has a good working relationship with the Prison as has been noted by recent reports from Her Majesty's Inspector of Prisons , Public Health England and in a recent Health Needs Analysis commissioned by NHS England.
