About the role:

As a Data Engineering Intern at Rapsodo, you’ll play an essential role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers decision-making and innovation throughout our organization. This role is ideal for students passionate about data engineering, with a foundational knowledge of data analytics to support meaningful insights. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, applying your skills to bridge data engineering and analytics, and making an impact on projects in sports technology and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

· Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of Rapsodo’s data systems, using tools like Google BigQuery, Kafka, and GCP Pub/Sub.

· Support data ingestion, processing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to deliver reliable data for analytics teams.

· Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to ensure clean, structured data is available for analysis, reporting, and visualization.

· Assist in the setup and monitoring of real-time data pipelines, learning to identify ways to streamline data ingestion and reduce latency.

· Work on data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, preparing data for analytics and helping generate insights for diverse projects.

· Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and improve data pipeline and infrastructure efficiency.

· Create basic reports, dashboards, and visualizations with tools like Tableau or Power BI, conveying valuable insights to business stakeholders.

Requirements:

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

· Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Google BigQuery or other data warehousing solutions.

· Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing techniques.

· Interest in or exposure to data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub) and ETL development.

· Basic understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to support data-driven insights.

· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Apache Superset, Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib) is a plus.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Pursues the implementation of the latest developments in surveying technologies.
• Manages the coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, and directing of the surveying mission.
• Develops and implements quality control measures for all aspects of district hydrographic surveys work.
• Performs day-to-day supervisory and management work providing policy decisions on both technical and administrative matters.
• Works with project managers to prepare overall plans, schedules, and programs funds on surveying matters.
• Participates in formulating long-term plans and programs in performing executive functions relating to personnel management, program review and evaluations.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of M&E working experience in building/construction industry
• Must be bilingual abilities with strong skills in multiple languages to liaise with relevant counterparts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management.
• Good in documentation, presentation, coordination, and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Possess own vehicle would be an added advantage
• Willing to travel to various job sites

• You will serve as a senior engineering resource for all topics involving subsystems and flight controls for the Division.
• You will establish performance standards, assess performance, counsel, evaluate, and recommend awards.
• You will maintain open communication with the FST and Competency leadership locally and nationally on technical issues to ensure timely production of high-quality engineering products and services in accord with all policies and procedures.

• Operates one or more types of heavy gasoline or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment
• Operates motor grader on flat or rolling terrain where exact specifications are required in grading unpaved roads for surfacing with clay and gravel
• Drives various vehicles (e.g., utility truck or similar vehicle (primarily under 10,000 gross vehicle weight) to and from the work site
• Operates close to buildings, trees, drop-offs, rocks, or other obstructions on all types of terrain and therefore, requiring increased operating control relevant to the complexity of the equipment
• Operates crawler type and mobile truck cranes to move earth, dig ditches and for other operations where maneuverability if not a major problem and accuracy is not critical
