Your Role
An opportunity has arisen to join Adoption Counts as our Marketing Officer. You will work closely with our Recruitment and Enquiries Manager and Head of Service to develop and implement an effective marketing strategy that will aim to ensure that increased numbers of adoptive parents are available for the identified groups of children in need of adoptive placements across the regional agency.
About You
You will be an excellent communicator who is open, welcoming, and sensitive to complex and difficult issues. We are seeking someone who has the ability to work collaboratively with a team, make links with colleagues in other RAAs as well as colleagues in local authority communications teams. You will be expected to ensure our marketing activities maximise all opportunity for local publicity and awareness raising in the five locality areas Adoption Counts covers.
You should be a team player, as well as being able to self-motivate with good organisational skills, and be passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children.
About Us
Adoption Counts is a Regional Adoption agency, delivering adoption services in Cheshire East, Manchester, Salford, Stockport and Trafford local authorities. The agency was one of 5 national demonstrator projects and was the second agency to go “live” in July 2017 and continues to play a lead role in national developments and have strong links with the DFE. Covering a large geographical area, we function in a hub and spoke model .Hub functions such as recruitment, marketing, performance management, panel management and finance are based in Wythenshawe. The area is then covered from three geographical spokes-the northern spoke being in Salford, central in Wythenshawe, and south based in Wythenshawe and Middlewich.
