SELF-EMPLOYED VEHICLE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY DRIVER / TRADE PLATE DRIVER PART/FULL TIME

Here at BCA Logistics, we touch over a million vehicles a year, working with manufacturers, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of the UK's automotive supply chain.

Due to our ever-increasing volumes, we are looking to engage additional Self-Employed Driver contractors throughout the UK who can help us deliver that service.

What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.

• Handling vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Keeping clients informed of estimated arrival time and any possible delays.

Due to ongoing growth we require FULL TIME self-employed driver contractors based across England to join our expanding network across the UK .

Home based you will start as a Self-Employed Vehicle Collection and Delivery Driver

You will collect and deliver vehicles across the UK. You will be required to plan your own travel between drop off and collections by utilising public transport or through the resource of our network of drivers

Following a successful probationary period, you will be up-skilled to be a Corporate Handover Driver and ultimately trained to join our Inspections team working on blue chip accounts as an Inspector/Driver enjoying the additional benefits associated with the role

Experience is not essential as full training will be given, you must have good customer service skills, a working knowledge of vehicles and have a professional can-do attitude

We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading utility company as a Store's & FLT Operator. This a 40 hour per week, full-time temporary ongoing contract and the working hours are between 07.00am - 15.30pm Monday to Friday.

Start date: Asap

Hours: 07:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday

The role:

• You will be responsible for picking, receiving and managing materials within the supply chain.
• The Store's Person will maintain an effective and compliant operation across all responsible activities and ensure adherence to all legal, operational and SHE procedures.
• Must have good communicative skills both verbally and in written form, showing a good level of numeracy and verbal reasoning. The Individuals will be interacting with internal operational customers and need to be extremely professional.

Key responsibilities:

• Issue and receipt of materials, plant, tools, equipment, and road traffic signs and barriers, via a warehouse management system
• Daily stock count of materials
• First point of contact for customer queries and requests
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicle
• Counterbalance FLT Operator
• Ensure housekeeping is carried out at stores
• Working to site & contract specific SHESQ policies and procedures
• First point of contact for customers queries and request
• Weekly reporting non-compliance / site checks to line management
• Site waste management

What we are looking for:

• Excellent customer attitude
• Experience of working in a similar role
• Work on own initiative, proactive approach
• Keeping the stores / yard to a high standard of cleanliness and tidy
• Hold current full driving licence
• A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
