• Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field, or equivalent construction related work experience, as well as 8+ years of experience in field construction is required

• Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction related processes, as well as industry practices

Parsons was recently awarded a contract to be a part of PMO organization for a client who is building a semi-conductor manufacturing plant located in Boise, ID. We're looking for talented Project controls resources who are well experienced in cost, schedule and change controls. Previous experience in wastewater treatment plant, data center, process plant is considered a plus.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Develops, establishes, and maintains all aspects of the cost control effort and/or the planning/scheduling effort on one or more of the larger, more complex and demanding projects.  Our Parsons Ontario, California office in the Los Angeles area  is now hiring for a highly experienced  Project Engineer to join our Transportation Infrastructure team ! In this role you will perform a wide variety of engineering tasks for road and highway projects from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design to report writing and development of construction contract documents. This role will support projects in Southern California and other state regions as well, when needed. This position offers hybrid remote working ( meaning  ability to work from home, 2-3 days per week)

What You'll Be Doing :

• Perform a variety of roadway engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development.
• High level experience with Microstation and Autocad as well
• Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.

• Patrols designated Honolulu freeway routes and assist stranded motorists by making quick-fix repairs including changing tires, providing gas, jump starting vehicles

• Monitors the safety of roadways (vehicle crashes, disabled/abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events, signal malfunctions, and general incident/congestion)

• Works closely with other first responders at highway incidents by providing incident response, on-scene traffic control and basic first aid.

• Communicates with Traffic Operations Center (TOC) staff with regard to disabled vehicles, abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events and coordinates operations

• Offers tow services to stranded motorists

• Assists at motor vehicle collisions by stabilizing the accident scene and providing first aid to injured parties when necessary

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Must hold a valid and current State of Hawaii drivers license.

• Must be able to pass a background check and driving record investigation.

You will be part of a team which primarily supports Caltrans projects and works on various projects with the regional transportation planning agencies, counties, cities, and transit agencies.
