As an Executive Assistant, you will:

• Perform specialized duties with continuing responsibility for processes, projects, questions and problems within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development.
• Develop, analyze, and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of administrative work methods and procedures, including distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for CPD.
• Gather data, identify discrepancies or omissions, prepares reports, and takes actions or make recommendations to resolve discrepancies consistent with normal practice, based on interpretation and adaptation of application guidelines, or selection and or development of alternative approaches to satisfy desired outcomes.

-Supervising a staff of economists, social science analysts, program analysts, and policy analysts on a variety of data and technical analysis issues critical
to the development, evaluation, and implementation of Medicare and other health financing policies.
-Overseeing staff that conduct a variety of quantitative and qualitative assessments to estimate the costs, benefits, and impacts of a range of Administration and Congressional initiatives.
-Overseeing the analyses conducted by staff and produced by contractors, including ensuring their methodological rigor, technical accuracy, and the development of research products that effectively communicate analytical results.
-Directing data analysis on a broad range of health services research, evaluation and policy issues.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The DAB, through direct delegation from the Secretary issues decisions under more than 60 statutory provisions governing Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) programs. The Chair is responsible for exercising executive direction and leadership over the day-to-day activities and operations of the DAB, a staff division within the Office of the Secretary. In that capacity, the incumbent serves as a key advisor to DHHS leadership on adjudicative activities conducted by DAB Judges, adjudicative trends at the administrative appeals level and manages the Division's operations including strategic planning, assessment of objectives and results, and management of financial and human resources. Additional duties include evaluating the evolving needs of the organization and coordinating budget planning and execution including drafting and submitting written budget requests and justifications to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Congress.

As the Chair, the incumbent also:
Serves as a member of the Board and designates panels of three Board members to adjudicate appeals. Appraises the performance of the Executive Officer/Executive Director of Administration, Board members and senior level officials including the Deputy Board Chair, the Chief Administrative Appeals Judge, the Executive Director of the Medicare Operations Division, the Executive Director for Adjudication, and supervisory attorney advisors who serve as division directors of the DAB's three adjudicatory divisions, the Appellate Division, the Civil Remedies Division and the Medicare Operations Division.

• Provide expertise to create and review agency national acquisition policies as they relate to contract administration and agency acquisition systems as well as to the users of the systems with which acquisition system interfaces.
• Create procedures and policies that improve how OAS acquires services, products, or supplies.

The Deputy Associate Director:

• Serves as a recognized Office and Departmental authority for National Security Council coordination and policy matters to ensure appropriate Departmental representation for National Security Council meetings, respond to National Security Council inquiries, and assist senior executive leadership with meeting preparation, attendance, and follow-up.
• Receives classified meeting materials from the National Security Council and across the Federal Government; reviews as appropriate for Division, Office, and Departmental equities; and ensures proper handling, distribution, and storage.
• Serves as the lead analyst for policy and has supervisory responsibilities in three primary areas: staff coordination and representation with National Security Council and equivalent policy-making organizations, Departmental policy review, and inter-departmental planning and coordination.

• Provide authoritative information and analysis, either written or oral, that identifies, interprets, and develops alternatives and options to complex questions of Drug and Alcohol policy.

• Works in a confidential capacity and provides authoritative advice and guidance to top level political and career officials on a wide variety of sensitive and highly complex LER issues.

The Courtroom Clerk will be expected to perform the following duties in a timely and competent manner, exercise sound and professional judgment, work independently and cooperatively, and communicate in a clear and courteous manner:

• Provides accurate case information and assistance in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Manages courtroom operations to ensure that appropriate personnel and parties are present for proceedings and that the courtroom is ready prior to calling the judge into the courtroom; calls the courtroom to order as needed.
• Administers oaths to jurors, witnesses, and interpreters; takes notes and generates necessary paperwork in accordance with the rulings of the courts; inputs data as needed to ensure complete and accurate court records.
• Assists in the jury selection process, to include roll call of all jurors, recording number of strikes taken by each attorney, maintaining a list of all jurors selected, and communicating with the Juror Office, as required.

The Department of Administrative Services, Administrative Systems Office (ASO), is seeking a motivated and experienced Information Technology Specialist to fill the role of Solutions Architect within the Systems Execution Division, Systems Development Branch. This position will report directly to the Systems Development Branch Chief.

The ASO operates in an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) matrix structure, comprising two divisions: the Strategic Planning Division (SPD), which focuses on strategy, budgeting, and service development for customers, and the Systems Execution Division (SED), which handles software development, operations and maintenance, application support, infrastructure, and contractor management essential for service delivery.

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for managing, designing, and developing solutions and strategies that support ASO systems and services. They will lead development teams on various complex IT projects for the U.S. Courts and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. The incumbent will also provide solutions architecture services, review code for compliance with ASO frameworks, and ensure that requirements are met. They will manage multiple projects simultaneously, interact with stakeholders to effectively oversee scope, schedule, and risks, and act as a liaison between project teams and service providers in other offices within the AO. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills.
