ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RECEIVABLE CLERK | HIGH WYCOMBE
We’re looking for a fantastic Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team and play a key role in making sure all suppliers are paid in accordance with their agreed terms and all payables and receivables are recorded in the ledgers correctly.
You’ll be responsible for accurately and timely coding and processing all invoices and credit notes through the document scanning platform, ensuring all details are correctly captured.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating with them regularly about the status of payments, raising any actions that are required prior to payment, and investigating and resolving any queries.
· Reconcile supplier statements with outstanding invoices to ensure accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
· Preparing and processing weekly payment runs to payment terms, as well as allocating all payments and receipts correctly to invoices and suppliers.
· Support the Management Accountant Teams with month-end close, posting journals and analysis.
· There will be opportunities to work on automation projects to enhance the accounts payable process.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
· You are organised and can work effectively and efficiently; you have a genuine enthusiasm to work as part of a team in a busy retail environment.
· You are AAT qualified, qualified by experience or are looking to study.
· Previous accounts payable experience with a good understanding of the accounts payable process, as well as proven experience of managing high volume workflows within multi-currency ledger.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
