Based in the south side of Glasgow, this medium-sized Practice has a vibrant and collaborative team environment undergoing a period of growth due to consistent tender wins across Scotland and the UK. SpecialisesIn designing and delivering high-quality commercial, industrial, and Residential projects.
They are looking for a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our team and lead the design and construction of our projects in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
Your new role
Our client has Tendered some large scale projects across Scotland and the UK working on somereally exciting healthcare projects, such as hospitals, clinics, and research Facilities, that aim to improve the health and well-being of the communities that we serve. They work with reputable and prestigious clients in HealthCare, Higher Education, Residential High Profile Charity. High Value Education project in Edinburgh Value Circa £50 Million, currently at Riba Stage2, moving to Stage 3. Additional projects with High end residential for senior living Value Circa £40 Million, currently going to tender.
Working with our client as a project architect, you will be responsible for meeting with clients and stakeholders, developing construction documents, preparing budgets, overseeing contractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within specifications. You will also be expected to coordinate with other design professionals, such as engineers, interior designers, and landscape Architects, and to comply with building codes and regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as a project architect, you should have a bachelor's degree in Architecture, construction management, or civil engineering, Architecture certification. You should also have a portfolio of completed projects, advanced knowledge of drafting software, such as AutoCAD andSketchUp, excellent communication and reporting skills, and the ability to translate concepts into functional designs. Additionally, you should have strong project-management skills, the ability to work with multiple Stakeholders, and knowledge of construction costs and time frame

A training opportunity to learn and use ArchiCAD, the software that we use for our projects. Experience with ArchiCAD is not essential, but it would be an advantage. Experience with Revit would also be useful.
